Bloody double post... ahem.
... But "From Ashes" /was/ made after the game...
Confusing logic is confusing.
I didn't know anything about Borgia or the rest you mentioned being beneficial in real life, but made villains for the sake of the game. That's pretty interesting, thanks for that. I hadn't even thought of this before you mentioned it, but you have a legit concern. They probably will glorify the good ol' US of A. Hopefully it won't be the case though. Just for humor though, lets say they do make a lot of respected historic figures of America become villains... I betcha if ...
+1
People are making too big a deal out of this. It's dlc in the sense that it unlocks free in-game shop package deals in the multiplayer. If you've played the demo, you know what I'm on about. A free Veterans Pack, or any variation there-of, is hardly worthy of someone getting upset.
Taking this into perspective, it's likely this is also what the 'DLC' of the Mass Effect figurines is. Buy Liara statue? Unlock the Asari character in m...
Regardless of how serious the claim, it still represents a level of immaturity and ignorance that shouldn't have to be tolerated.
The day-1 dlc in question is actually the 'exclusive' character/mission content that was advertised and promised for those who purchased the Collectors Edition. To not make it available on Day-1 would had likely been a case of false advertising.
That being said, if they had decided to make it Day-1 only for the Collec...
Thank you for being one of the only sensible people N4G. Refreshing.
I will note however that they did say specifically that the Prothean's story arc and all that good stuff is resolved/revealed in the game, NOT the DLC.
I can't wait for the game to finally release and put all these fears people seem to have to rest. March 6th, hurry up already.
As long as they don't make it as bad as Dragon Age 2. That game was really, really gay. Literally. Felt uncomfortable and awkward the entire playthrough. A toggle option in the settings to hide such stuff would be nice. I don't want to think of Garrus as being gay, ever. Sorry if's insulting but its just how I feel.
How about explain why you cannot change your country region after making an account... Do people not ever move? I have to purchase my PSN content through an alt account because my primary is EU.
The article has been updated since its release. Crisis adverted! Lol.
The things that can be considered news these days is kinda silly.
Ron Paul! :D
The DLC in question is the promised 'exclusive' content for fans who purchased Collector's Edition. They certainly could had made it so that CE were the only ones who had access to the download for a week, but would that be really fair to the people who own the normal version of the game? They HAVE to wait to even get the option of downloading the Collectors Edition dlc for a extra 10 dollars?
I think it's fair that it's available to everyone on day 1. H...
Is he actually trying to talk reason to all the rage-fueled trolls? Power to him, but I highly doubt it's going to work. Good article, gets all the facts right, that's not in question. But it's not going to matter any, if they could had been talked sense to they would already had been calmed the [beep] down. That being said, yay... another ME3 DLC article on N4G. I guess it has been two days since the last batch eh? Can't wait for this to blow over, It's getting rather tir...
I rented the game and managed to get some pretty sweet upgrades/rank/leveling done on my MP characters. I since don't have the game anymore, but wonder if those characters will be there waiting for me if I download the F2P version... I will go check it out later when I have the few hours of free time needed to likely download this.
You should be golden. The 'unlocked' items are tracked by your Origin account, not the console/pc you played it on. If you played the demo while signed in to your Origin account the first screen you see when starting the demo up should had told you that you unlocked the content.
Long as the PSN account you play ME3 on is linked to that Origin profile, you should be fine. You may have to sign in first for it to register it though, but that shouldn't be much proble...
Glad you didn't take my criticism personal. It sounded like you had more to say and that you were heading somewhere with the topic, looking forward to reading the revise.
Was this article rushed? It felt rushed. I reached the end expecting to hear more, but no, that was it. Not the best article I've read this week, honestly. I've seen longer and more detailed, thought-filled opinions done in N4G's own comment sections than what this short 'article' offers. The structure for how he brings his question across is a bit odd as well.
First he says "we thought the DLC was cut from the disc", but "then we found out...
Actually I'm pretty pessimist, I'm just referring to facts. I remember a time when having something as high tech as a smart phone was something only 'nerds' would have, now they're everywhere, it's become a social norm.
People who knew how to even use a keyboard were also branded as such, but these days everyone, even little kids, know how to use computers to an extent. Gaming itself has long sense been viewed as something for children. Of course this ...
Learning all the shouts and finding all the waystones wasn't really tough, just rather time-consuming. The rest, other than the bounty, can be obtained just by enjoying the game without a real set-objective. The only trophy I find to be a pain is Oblivion Walker. It wouldn't be so bad if it just wanted you to beat all the daedric questlines, but the fact that the artifacts can be missed is what makes it difficult. Not because the quests are really hard but because it means for a lot o...
He's 74 years old? I'm surprised, not because he enjoys video games, but because he looks very good for his age. Not even gray hair. Jeeze.
The only reason this is really news is because his age and the mentality that anyone over 13-20 is "too old" for "kiddy stuff like video games." Nice that the stereotype is coming to a end, just like it used to be that only "nerds" used computers - now everyone has them practically built into their ph...
Forgive me for not knowing that's what you meant, since your initial statement was remarking on day-1 dlc. You first call it outrageous on the bases of it being day-1 dlc, then you say that it being day-1 dlc isn't really the problem.
BioWare has already stated that the prothean's story arc and mystery will all be resolved and told through the maingame, not the DLC. They made that rather clear.
Think about it logically for just a moment though. Y...
