I hope they come to some kind of arrangement soon - I'd like to be able to take part in these operations...
A better article would be "the companies are always right and the consumer should STFU!" or even "the day people confused being a fans with 'entitled'"
Yes, they should. No, they haven't. Saying they've 'caved' is a misunderstanding. They didn't give us a new ending to fix their horrible one. They're keeping the ending, just sprinkling some glitter on the pile of crap. Artistic integrity my ass. That ending needs to be burned and forgotten like a sick joke.
Again, the ending is NOT changing. They've cleared stated this in several FAQ's, so why anyone thinks it is, is beyond me. We deserve a b...
The really messed up thing is all these articles that come out saying that the FANS are WRONG to complain. Calling them "cry babies" and "entitled" and other such things. It's absolutely insane. I can understand why someone who has ONLY played ME3 could feel that way, or maybe someone who only rushed through any of the other games but didn't really follow the lore. Ignorance is bliss right? But honestly I cant help but feel those people who complain over fans compl...
At least this operation actually made it to the PS3. The last one didn't - not that it stopped articles tagging it as such.
The above comments are right though, nothing was really confirmed, but I will agree it is heavily implied. Speculation sure, but it has a lot of credibility given the evidence.
I just hope these DLC packs can be purchased in the PSN store and not strictly in the ME3 store. I use an alt account for sake of PSN purchases, so obviously...
Didn't they already clarify that they're not changing the ending, so they will keep the horrible ones. Just sprinkle some glitter on them to try to make them seem less shitty. Sounds impossible to me, I think they're being a bit bias since it's their game and don't realize how truly shitty the ending is. We'll see.
So instead of a new ending that isn't shit, they're going to sprinkle glitter on what they have to try to make it less crappy. I really don't see that working out well, the game all about choices will still end with three color endings. But we'll see. Maybe they will find some way to make space magic seem less like bullshit. I doubt it though. Artistic vision is not an adequate excuse to get by with trash. "Sure it makes no sense, gives fans the middle finger, fails you d...
Good article. I would point out parts I agreed with, but in this case, it happened to be basically all of it. Even felt the same glee at the "walking tanks" elcor. Got my hopes up. I will note however... that it would be nice to actually visit Palaven. You never really did get to visit the Turian homeworld - you only visited it's moon.
I know ME3 was suppose to be the final big battle with the reapers, but I really felt like they shouldn't had started it ri...
Two things.
1. Does it really matter if someone exploits in a game that is strictly Co-OP? I don't care how my team acquired their fancy new guns, it helps me out if they're well armed. There's no PVP in ME3's Galaxy at War so I don't see who this hurts.
2. The operations, or at least this one, aren't actually on the PS3 due to Sony apparently being hard to work with, so why tag this with PS3?
Frankly I don't care how the mass of fans act, be it with dignity or flat out rage. At this point I'll settle for anything that gets the message across to BioWare the quickest that we wan't a proper ending. I usually roll my eyes at the rage and flame wars, but I can't deny they served a good purpose this time around, seems that people respond quicker to being yelled at rather than being asked nicely. Harsh but true. Being proper is great when it works, but sometimes you need ...
Thank you.
What would be more insulting is if they didn't alter or change the ending in anyway, effectively giving the middle finger to all fans who have been following the series since the first release. The current ending really is that bad.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but these "Operations" aren't on the Playstation 3, something about Sony making it difficult for them or something. With that in mind, is it fair to really tag this with PS3, considering PS3 players won't actually be able to take part in this event.
If anything, keeping it compromises the 'art'. The ending completely contradicts everything established in the previous games and fails to follow its own lore. It's rather shocking really how far off the ending was if you've been following the series. You wouldn't think they'd overlook some of the things they did. When the latest novel was released filled with so many plotholes it made it seem like they had NO ONE 'fact checking' the lore, they decided to revis...
Just a thought. Control is essentially the same thing reapers do. Indoctrination. The control choice is very akin to what the reapers are already trying to do to all organic life. So the kid makes it sound like a good idea. It's even the action the Illusive Man wanted to take, someone who was clearly indoctrinated.
The synthesis ending is another one the kid puts favor on. The combining of organic and synthetic life. If you remember correctly, that is basically the whole...
There is no doubt that this is wrong to do to the consumer, morally, but its pretty unfair the way they word it.
"Remember that article about whether day-one DLC was acceptable? Well Capcom wants to put that question to the test" there is a HUGE difference between Day-1 DLC and having DLC locked on the disc. Day-1 DLC in on itself is not bad, as its not content that's just locked on the disc for additional purchase to unlock. The way they word it implies that anytime DLC...
I wasn't aware of that about Spotify. I had never actually heard of the service until now. If that is the case, then I do approve of it, but I still don't like signing up. Practically every website I've ever visited needed me to sign up to do anything, and 95 percent of the time I had to give out a long list of info like where I live yadda yadda and then I have to go to my mail and confirm I gave it a real email or else it wont active the account. Granted, this isn't hard, and...
This is actually a great deal. For me though, the main thing that's kept me from getting Xbox is the fact that you have to pay a subscription fee to play online. Damn if this isn't tempting though lol
Doesn't have much to do with this article... but I still agree. I'm coming on N4G less and less because Im scared of spoilers. Im already seeing a lot of "game guides" and walkthrough stuff appear. I dont know why they'd even put that out when the game isnt release yet.
On topic: I'm disappointed, the Japanese boxart of games is usually better, more artistic, has more... awesome. This one is kinda just like the American one with some Japanese letter...
"I am currently playing ME3. I do NOT know the ending that has caused so much controversy"
You should really consider actually getting to know why fans are upset, before you tell them all why they're wrong. If you're really such a fan of Mass Effect and know anything about the lore and been following the story, I get the impression you'll change your tune of when you see the ending.
People who never played it really seem to underestima...
