I agree with you completely, I'm in no means defending Bioware or their 'artistic integrity' bs, I'm just saying the article isn't as pro-corporation anti-fans as the title would lead you to believe.
"How long has it been since Bioware and Mass Effect’s ending has been in the spotlight? Has anyone heard about it for months? I know I haven’t"
Someone doesn't check up on N4G much, huh.
Did you read the article? I was going to post something similar to this the moment I saw the title. But after reading it, I think he just words it wrong. I think what he means to say is that it had the potential to be ingenious, had the Indoctrination Theory been used.
Lol... While he is right on some points on why people were so upset with the ending, I think he overlooked one of the biggest issues that people have: godchild. Sure, the lack of closure really sucks, but the plotholes hurt more. Lots and lots of plotholes... destructive ones. Still, it's something at least. Looking forward of it, 1.9gb sounds promising. Here's hoping.
There's two little features that would be very nice to have, though likely not on the 'top desired features' of anyones list. One, it would be nice to have a custom-music player feature to play your own playlists in the background of your games. This works especially well for driving games, its a shame not all of them have this feature anyway.
Another wonderful tiny little feature, little subtle thing... is a damn Printscreen ability. Computers can take in-game sc...
Have to love the amount of fanboys that take the time to reply in this. They turn a guide article into a "keyboard+mouse is so much better noobs" and "xbox controller is so much better noobs" argument. It isn't even an opinion piece is it? I can't say since the website is down at the time of posting. It seems to me that it's just a bit of a how-to guide for getting your PS3 controller compatible with PC for gaming.
Way to turn a tutorial into ...
Why the hell is this even up for debate and why would anyone be against free content? It seems more like the ones who go against the free content are the ones acting spoiled. You're getting stuff for free and yet still find a reason to complain. Where the hell was all these debates when Asura's Wrath released 'true ending' dlc? Where were the debates when Fallout 3 released DLC that changed the storyline ending and prolonged your gameplay experience? Fans wanted more - they ga...
Outrageous, really.
First of all, if you haven't played any of the Mass Effect games you really do not have any business even joining the argument. To suggest that a company shouldn't cater to fans in anyway, to say that it doesn't matter what they want but rather what the company thinks is best? The fans, the people who buy the games, they are what really make them. It is because of people like the fans that game companies make money.
Since when ...
I'm not surprised that they sided with EA on this one.. but I'm still disappointed nonetheless. Bioware: "Mass Effect 3 will not have a 'A, B or C' ending"
Ending: Red, Blue, Green.
Oh, but it isn't misleading at all. You see, what people don't understand is how huge of an impact EMS has. Its not like the endings are exactly the same except for different colors or anything. Saved the Krogan? Look at all the krogan battle forces fight...
It was fun. Only complaint I had was the damn Konami ID. The fact that I couldn't just sign in with my PSN ID and play... was a major turn off for me. I went a long time never playing it simply because I didn't feel like going through the sign up process. EA seem to be doing a similar thing these days, requiring you to activate passes and such to play online and sign into their EA account network ontop of PSN... What happened to the good ol days of just putting the game in and playing...
I won't comment on godchild, since everything has been said before and the point of its insanity has been made clear. But I will mention a few other plot oddities in Mass Effect 3. Just a bit of a venting really, everyone is always so focused on the ending that they seem to overlook some other story elements that didn't quite fit.
The biggest one is Legion or should I say, The Geth Legion himself tells you that the Geth do not want to be 'given their future'. ...
I did actually read it. Like I said at the start of my post: There is no point.
You're upset not because its smutty but because they belittle you by advertising it to you in that matter, as if you could be pandered by something as trivial as CGI nuns in latex. What are we, 15 year old's giggling about boobies? A very fair point.
If you really think that's what they're doing, anyway. Instead of looking at it as their attempt to make you want t...
It is nice that they listen and all, but...
"opinion that is too emotional, we won't reward that in the same way."
Seems strange to me really. You'd think that would be one of the preferred. They should be happy they've made a series so many people enjoy enough to actually be emotional over, so that they actually care about what happens to all these fictional 3D characters. It means they did something right.
It kinda sounds like...
Lol. There is no point. Sexism, really? I imagine that makes the 'entertainers' of gentleman's clubs very sexist. Not to mention the cover model on almost every magazine. It'd be different if this was something 'new' for Hitman, but really, it isn't. In game called Hitman that places you in the shoes of a serial-killer assassin that hunts down targets and kills them in a various matter of ways and avoids police, the one thing people want to be morally high-and-migh...
Interesting to note at least that the DLC you receive for those Mass Effect 3 action figures isn't quite as significant as some may think. To the point that offering it as a bonus for getting the figurine is actually a nice perk, not so much a "grab for cash." As the DLC code that come with each figure just gives you a randomized pack in the games multiplayer, it isn't a big deal at all. Anyone who played the multiplayer probably realizes this. Its a nice a bonus if you'...
Yay. Glad to see its finally resolved. This should be fun.
... I'm beginning to lose faith in ever reading intelligent gaming journalism again. Just. Wow. Lost for words.
Nice song and all, but... really? If not for the few scenes slipped into the video that are from the game, this wouldn't have anything at all to do with Mass Effect. Don't see the point of posting it on N4G.
I found ME3 too depressing to really enjoy it. ME2 is more fun to play, even if the gameplay itself is less so. ME3 pretty much kills off everyone I like and makes me wait to see characters I cared about, and all my old squad are only with you for one mission really. Even then, they're not 'with you' since they're not part of your squad, just on the sidelines. There's a mission for each character to remind you "hey, remember me from ME2? I was in your squad. Good time...
Know what pissed me off about the lesbian Femshep? The damn shower scene. Traynor takes a shower with her undergarments still on, then Shepard joins her without removing ANY clothing of her own. She gets in the shower with her dress on.
Here I was thinking Mass Effect 3 was a M-rated game, but apparently that relates only to blood and violence. If someone (Jack) tries to say a 'naughty word' it cuts to black, and if someone tries to expose some flesh that will go ove...
