The game looks very fun, but I don't understand why everyone is talking about it being such a new idea and revolutionary. I mean it has very similar elements to tribes and Starhawk, but with way less skill (former) and strategy (latter) than both those titles. It is cool and fun looking, but not the second coming it's been hailed as because all of it's ideas have in fact been done before and many times.

There is a large difference, things look much more crisp in 1080P. It has nothing to do with being a "tech guy", that is like looking at a photo that is out of focus and claiming since your not a tech guy it doesn't matter, well...

That's like saying a camera that takes pictures 50% less clear than another camera doesn't matter because it still captures the same image. I have a 42 inch lcd and sitting in a normal size room there is certainly a difference between 720 and 1080. This gen I had a ps3 and pc and going between the two I could tell every time. Does it make the game good, on it's own no. Does it make the experience better, definitely. A 200 hp car will get you where you need to go, but a 400 hp...
I believe it has to do with them concerned about losing money when it comes to skins and game play mechanics. You can't have more fun without paying for it. As far as the FOV fix I have no idea what the logic is behind that. People own the game, they should be able to make it into whatever they want as long as they don't make money. Imagine if a car company wanted to charge you a fee for changing your own brakes, or prohibited you from doing so altogether.
I like that they had the balls to kill off the hero in a way that made sense and continue with the world they built. I'm sure cole will be back somehow but this keeps it from getting stale and the series seems to keep evolving for the better unlike a certain assassin.

The problem is download caps. The ISP companies will inevitably see game downloads as a way to make more money. Some already charge on tiered data plans which is ridiculous. The digital download era of gaming is not a viable or sustainable option because of greed. Why pay more when I can just go to the store and get what I want without worrying about being able to use the internet the rest of the month. This will become a huge issue which some companies are not addressing.
I respect your opinion, but the problem is the satire and the inability for a child to recognize it. Is GTA V promoting violence and racial stereotypes, no they are being satirized. Is a child able to distinguish between what they think is okay behavior and language vs. a social commentary is the better question. For example a white child sees the N word being thrown around and thinks it's cool to use that word. There needs to be a discussion with a child before they play these games,...
Sony has always done very well in Japan (vita aside). They don't need to do anything to "win" that territory as this gen already proves. What Sony does need is a strong launch in the west, which appears to be what they are doing. I don't think Sony rushed at all. I believe they want more stock in the west available at launch.
Just called a local store. The 3G model is discontinued in their system and they will not be getting any more. Unfortunately for me they are not currently selling it on clearance. So Sony is no longer producing that model, but I think they already confirmed that (I may be wrong though).
Is it still not a valid question? I believe it is. On the other hand the non-answer from MS is because the person asked simply doesn't know. The last person to say the wrong thing is planning a departure from the company.
Artificial intelligence is just that, artificial and I never said I expected human level intelligence. What I do expect is if they are trying to simulate stealth and line of site they figure out a way for the ai partner to have the same rules applied. Nothing anywhere near human intelligence is needed for something to realize there is movement and then react.
Not flamed. The ai issue is ellie will walk or stand right infringement of an enemy and the ai doesn't react. See my comment below for a better explanation. Granted maybe when I beat the game ill feel different, but as it stands for me personally its a big issue only because with naughty dog they set the bar so high I expect them to at least meet it.
I love the game, but for it to be built around a stealth mechanic it has to follow certain rules for the immersion not to be broken. A lot of times, at least ten my partner is literally standing right in front of an enemy, yet it's as if they don't exist. This article fails to mention the XBOX One also has frame rate issues for thief,which is mentioned in a lot of the reviews I read. So at 900p the game still has trouble with frame rate, sounds like a coding problem to me.
