You have no idea what philanthropy is. That is when you do things for the greater good of man kind by giving your time and money to make the lives of everyone better. Valve is a very large and very wealthy company that stumbled onto a digital delivery platform. I can't even say anything else in response to your comment BC wow, just wow. I will say that if a company promises something, then trolls it's fans for 8 years without delivering, yeah they owe at least an answer. How is th...

Valve, no one cares about your headset, no one cares about your controller or your convoluted business plans regarding steam machines. You are where you are BC of half life. That is what people want, that's what I want and each time I heard valve has "news" I laugh and know it'll be another step away from what got them there in the first place. Look, I realize I sound entitled and with any othe company i would say take your time, but not with Valve. They Actually do owe ...

I was referring to MS and Sony. I see Nintendo as it's own beast. I own a PC, ps4 and a wiiu and I agree with your statement. Bayonetta 2 is amazing.

Both consoles are selling better than their previous gen counterparts at this point. Everyone wins.

Flagship title? The fact your expectations far outpaced reality is your fault. So any game that is announced as an exclusive now has to completely reinvent the wheel otherwise it's trash? Your logic fails.

Archaic, that does not work either. None of the game mechanics used in the game have been abandoned for a very long time. You don't like the game, just say that. It's fine, but don't try to make it into things it clearly isn't.

@Timesplitter14

"lack of boldness", single player only story focused game seems pretty bold in today's world. Innovation, come on man I saw you edited your comment because you have nothing to back that claim up.

They lost me at $500 for a machine with an i3.....yeah no.

@steampowered

Then where are it's MVP's and league mascot?

The only news I want to hear out of Valve is info regarding HL3. It's like watching an extremely talented athlete and watching them play every sport except the one they are most skilled at and the one everyone wants to see them play. Look I'm sure Tom Brady could make it as a model, but I want to see that lanky bastard throw the damn ball. Throw the ball valve! Throw the freaking ball!

This is without a doubt the best comment section I have ever read on N4G. My faith in humanity has moved up one notch today. I'd like to replay lord of shadows again, amazing story.

Really? You are cancelling your pre-order based on a rumor for a game that is still three weeks out? My God I hope you are not into stocks or investments, you would be one poor fellow.

I had the same fear about the original Uncharted, I then played through the campaign no less than 4 times. I played through 2, 3 times and I'm on number 2 for the fourth game. My point is if a game is designed well enough and is fun, then being short is not always a bad thing because the mechanics and graphics are so much fun.

The camera angle does not change the trajectory of the shot.

@Cemeic

calm down, not Sony's choice to charge, that would be plex. Also if you have a ps3 and your plex server set correctly it will show up under videos on the xmb, no app required and it has been this way for a long time.

This is too bad for the team behind the game. However, you released a broken game. This is becoming a trend this gen and finally people seem to be catching on and taking a wait and see approach. The development teams and publishers have no one to blame but themselves. There has been far too much leeway given to games that are broken and need patching. 10 years ago this was not the norm and if a game was released and reviewed and it had bugs it was pointed out and scored accordingly. It ...

Dude, Titanfall was missing custom match making when it released. It also had very few modes and options. For a 60$ product advertised as an online only shooter it was missing some very basic necessities. Cool game with fun mechanics, yes. Did it deliver on it's promise and meet expectations for a modern online shooter, no.

Big companies that want a story would buy a system to view it. Also, you give people way too much credit. After all people buy new iPads every time a new incrementally better version for hundreds of dollars and the only thing they are paying for is bullet points used in marketing to sell an item.

"what we don’t understand is why so little effort effort has gone into the gameplay." I wanted to stop reading after I read this in the second or third paragraph. I love the irony. Then I saw this quote,"Although the attempts to mimic Victorian style dialogue aren’t very convincing." So....you have audio recording of what victorian era accents sounded like? Wow that is amazing. This whole article was a pathetic pile of sadness shat out by the author's own self lo...
