So Microsoft's plan is to not have first party studios anymore, rely on their old franchises given out to new developers and an emphasis on timed DLC for games that are multi-platform. I see your fears and eventually this will happen, but Sony has already confirmed that their new system will still have physical copies per a report today. Sony thought about going all digital but they decided not to. So a ps4 is in the works and it will have an optical drive, that much we do know.
Yeah I think you are, it'll be another option Sony gives it's consumers. Now you can have physical copies, downloaded electronic copies or pay a service and stream games that way. All the options will have advantages and disadvantages. The only thing this means is more options for consuming video games and that is never a bad thing. Also I think this is Sony's answer to people being afraid of the PS Vita, imagine streaming the newest PC games to the Vita, pure awesome.
I think Sony will drop the memory card prices first, but not the Vita console. Try the less drastic measure before you really cut into your bottom line, then save the price cut for the holidays. If Sony does that no one can complain about the price of the Vita anymore and it should sell like crazy with the line up about to be revealed. Wish I wasn't poor and my pS3 hadn't just died :(
Anything without moderation is detrimental to your health. So this scientist is basically stating the obvious. Maybe if schools actually got funding and had appropriate amounts of money to procure and keep intelligent caring teachers with the resources they needed young people would be better off. Sony didn't include peace walker because they want you to buy it separately on the PSN. They charge the same amount as the ps3 version with less content. I love Sony but that's what the industry is coming to unfortunately.
But when you show the whole picture of the architecture of the PS3 it has the same amount of RAM as the 360, it's just engineered completely differently. They each have strengths and weaknesses.

Well there was an option in the original witcher to have an isometric view and the mouse was sufficient to control evrything. Sure the dungeon crawling aspect is different but its actually very similar. I was going to reinstall the original and trying streaming to my tablet bc of the very fact it can all be controlled with just mouse clicks like diablo 3 can.
Why would cross play not work? It works on a number of titles currently, Wipeout being one which has a high frame rate. I'm sure the cross play is going to be one of the biggest bullet points for this title. I could care less about COD but I can see the possibility. People would buy this stuff in droves if they could play at home and away while constantly evolving the same character XP. Even if it only works over Wifi people will still buy it like crazy in major metropolitan areas.

Anything M$ offers online will never be "free." It totally goes against their business model. They have never done it before and with revenues like they've had you can bet they never will. I dislike M$ for their poor manufacturing quality, but they do know how to make a buck.
I see your point to an extent, but most people that I am not familiar with online that have head sets are complete douche bags. Swearing, playing crappy music, kids screaming in the background, racism and just plain old people being annoying. If you have a designated team the chat is important. If you casually go online and don't have a core group you do multi player with then I 100% agree with the article. Don't you see where he is coming from?
Not imaginary, if you know someone that still has a working 1st gen 360 then they either never turned it on or are lying about it not breaking which is pathetic.
