If it makes the EA execs feel any better I don't pay attention to billboards or web banner ads in real life, either.
@Balt
If this is how you post all the time, I totally get why you have only one bubble.
It'd be a shame if we ran out of electricity because of all these game boxes. /sarcasm
TBH, I thought Heavy Rain sucked. I play my PS3 MUCH more than my 360, if I were to keep only one system it would be the PS3, but honestly, I just found this game weak as hell and I really think a lot of his criticism is valid for people like myself. I've rented it, I've played it, I understand what there is to like about it and understand how some people could get into it but I didn't enjoy it and was glad I didn't buy it.
I know that's an unpopular opini...
Blame $40 handheld games for lack of PSP game sales; that and Sony's attempt to force another media format (UMD) down our throats.
PSP2 and the desire to go multiplat is the reason these guys are done with the PSP. It doesn't have dick to with piracy.
@360RRODFIX
Agreed. Doing a "stealth release" of a new technology product with such a huge R&D cost and no pre-release hype would be utterly moronic. Blogs are so stupid.
I've always had trouble getting into racing games... I have a real car. I can drive it fast. Driving a car on a game console feels nothing remotely like driving an actual car.
"MAG just gets better and better with patches and DLC."
Yeah, at this rate it'll actually be a decent game by next March! LOL!
Quick quiz is it "based on PSP specs" because:
1. It runs an entirely different OS
2. It has an entirely different processor running @ a diff CLK speed
3. It has much more RAM
4. It has a touch screen?
5. It has no UMD drive?
6. It's a cellphone?
The only thing I'm thinking could be based on "PSP specs" would be the joypads/controls and maybe the graphics coprocessor.
FWIW, I'm no...
No.
Making a pay to play game mode less than a month after release when your game already has fewer game modes than competing products is flat out retarded.
You know, I love the Move but it is really not a great FPS controller, IMHO.
I think I'm going to continue to try to get along with it in MAG because I've got both and it's sort of different and unique but some of the talk about move and FPSs, especially from Zipper, is hyperbole based on my experience.
KZ2 MP was massively underrated. I loved the campaign but was shocked at how fun the MP was.
Agreed. It's getting worse, too: DLC encourages publishers to release products that are "incomplete by design", so they can ask for more $$$ at a later date for features that were designed for the game but intentionally omitted.
Between this DLC trend and the oblivious attitude toward bugs as called out in the original article, it's no wonder a lot of intelligent customers are turning to used games or GotY/collected editions and holding off on day one purch...
He nailed it on Brutal Legend.
That game should have been an amazing Hack and Slash action adventure game instead of a poorly done RTS. Heck, like he implied, it's a better short film/cartoon/movie than it is a video game.
The fact that everything around the game was *awesome* production wise but it was a tedious/tiresome *game* is the essence of the frustration for people who really wanted to love that title. If it had simply sucked in every way it wou...
A subscription fee to play a single FPS game online would kill the series. There is enough competition that in spite of the brand, I think MOST consumers would move on.
I honestly would NEVER buy an FPS that charged a fee for online. It's a matter of principle. I'd just pick up something like KZ3, MOH, Ghost Recon: FS, Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, Rage, or any other of the dozen or so scheduled potentially AAA competitors.
Add value if you want to moneti...
"People just are such babies"
This. WTF? I never thought that political correctness could trump the American instinct for freedom of expression that has been instilled conceptually by 200+ years of the bill of rights, but things like the MOH whining/controversy make me wonder. Culturally, we're rapidly becoming a nation of ginormous wussies, it seems.
LOL. I've logged something like a couple of hundred hours on BFBC2 and have not even bothered finishing the first mission on the SP campaign. Battlefield is all about MP.
I'm not going to b*tch, I've been an Activision shareholder ever since before the MW2 launch. I love this kind of news.
