MW3 will win the sales war. BF3 will be the better game.
As recently as June 6th the VP of merchandizing @ Gamestop announced that MW3 was on track to beat preorders for Black Ops which was previously the most preordered game of all time. The BF3>MW3 preorder thing was an unconfirmed rumor.
Currently printing out the report in the hopes that my wife will read it and STFU wrt me being somehow abnormal for liking this stuff.
Agreed. I was disappointed to not see a PSP version since this started life as a portable/phone game. I have it on my Droid but would really prefer it on the PSP.
I HOPE it is. I fuggin LOVE my PSPs.
Absolutely. I get tired of people acting like there were people chained to their desks for 14 years slaving over this turd.
It's crappy and it took forever because it overshot its original schedule multiple times requiring the devs to do a full reset more than once (essentially ERASING previous development) eventually taking them out of business... after that, it went to the courts and was shuffled around to various places left for dead several times with NO ONE working o...
They were morons for trying to revive the project. DNF was much better as a developer's cautionary tale than as a game after a decade plus delay and the original devs folding.
They should have licensed the character and done a completely new game that was actually a good modern design instead of resuscitating a 1998 style FPS that was supposed to be carried by its out of date mildly retarded "humor". M games were ultra rare/non-existent when DN1 came out.
Correct! :)
I lost a bubble dissing Duke Nukem in the pre-release hype.. PLEASE guys, give me my bubble back! If the review was anything to go by I was right! :)
I called it... It was obvious that the hot game of the 1996 was not going to translate into 2011 well.
While I think they need to be careful in moving away from or changing the XMB, which is a wonderfully clean and effective interface, IMHO, they probably made changes for Vita due to it being a portable touch screen device. For the consoles, I hope they keep it simple if they do make changes the XMB really does need fixing IMHO. I like it way better than my Wii or X360's interface.
This. Times a million. If you don't like COD, ignore it, just quit whining like a little b*tch. It won't be the most popular game in the universe forever.
I'm looking forward to BF3 more than MW3. But I'm buying both, because I have a job, and life is short.
+1. As an adult gamer, I have suffered through almost *30* years of Mario hype. I was done with Mario and the gang by the end of the 90s. While some of those are indeed true classics and hold up even today (Super Mario World ROCKED), there has been a lot of garbage mixed in and I have no idea why people still consider that stuff fresh or exciting.
I tend to view Nintendo's systems as kiddie systems. They're less powerful and they have a bunch of casual stuff and the A...
Preordered 3G+WiFi @ $299 it was a no brainer. I had set aside $350 last year when I heard all the PSP2 rumors, so IMHO, this thing is priced to SELL.
True hardcore gaming on the go? I'm STOKED.
+1. This looks AMAZING! :)
Holy Cr*p! I'm gonna go broke buying new titles for this thing! :)
IF the industry goes that direction it'll kill the general FPS craze, IMHO, and become a much narrower niche in gaming.
If you wanted to do something different why'd you make yet another "me too" FPS? LOL.
I'd always thought there were only two genuinely huge 90's fighting franchises (I'm defining huge as having movies, comic books, coverage by mainstream media, and general recognition by non-hardcore gamers/general oublic), and they're already covered, so really anything else is hype...
Maybe something from SNK? They always kicked a** with their fighting games... Tekken, maybe? I dunno.
Why "decide"? I'm getting both!
In the future, ALL game consoles will be handhelds and they'll just have a dock for your TV for when you're @ home. <3
As for the 3DS, it is just flat out feeble. It does not have enough new tech to be compelling in the current fast paced world of handheld technology. It's a repackage of the years old DS with a gimmick tacked on that no one is willing to pay a big premium for. Why should anyone be surprised that it's not taking the world by storm? It's ...
