I must be jaded. I just don't get off on screenshots like this anymore... BAck in the day, the next release of a product would go several levels beyond its predecessor. This all feels so incremental in comparison.
I'm fairly sure there was an undead/zombie outbreak in the New Mexico territory in the mid 1800s, I always assumed the expansion pack was based on that.
LOLWAT.
I think their next article should be on whether or not Sonic the Hedgehog is a reasonable depiction of real hedgehogs.
+1. This title has rental written all over it.
+1. I hate the iPhone and Apple, but the fact is the iPhone is still the hottest gadget going fashion wise and in the mind of American culture. This little piece of nerd jewelry is hardly likely to make a dent in that.
Piracy IS NOT THEFT. I'm sick of people calling piracy theft and/or stealing. No lawyer in the world would argue that piracy is theft. No property has changed hands, nothing has been stolen. It's a violation of copyright/licensing contracts and is much different than theft in a legal sense.
If you can't even get that straight you have no right to have an opinion on the matter.
Haha... If this were COD there'd be nothing but HATE being posted here and lies directed at the dev for being "incompetent" because they've already patched the game three times since it went gold and we're less than 48 hours into the release; but since this is not COD, and is a PS3 exclusive no less, its just a big friendly N4G group hug.
I hit disagree because this guy is a f*cking idiot.
While a beta is advisable it is hardly going to cover every scenario the engine is going to see after release given the unprecedented number of players that are playing COD right now. If you've ever developed software, you'd realize that what Treyarch is saying is a fact. This game engine has already had over three years of beta testing in one form or another (MW, WaW, Mw2, and now BO) a beta will never guarantee a g...
Note to Magnus: While @ "collage" learn how to spell.
@LMS: You don't WTF you're talking about.
@Zinc: You have it right for the most part... This is how it works:
Activision/Blizzard is one company. They are PUBLICLY traded (ticker symbol ATVI), BUT vivendi owns the majority stake (54%) of their stock. So, essentially Vivendi "owns" them since they can control the board of directors, etc, via their majority stake of the stock and can make any changes they want since they can control any decisi...
@figboy: I wish I was allowed to hit "agree" twice. Great posts guys.
So how many Watts is KZ3? LOL.
These "X maxed out Y" and "Z uses 100% of system Q's" power claims are retarded. N4G should have enough sense to not forward these crap articles.
What is BC? Backwards Compatibility? I think it's awesome/bonus that it has any support for PSP1 titles at all and UMD is dead weight. You DO NOT want a UMD sucking battery life from an NGP with all that power hungry hardware in it.
I'll bet it's a major pain/effort for some titles, others are probably no brainers, newer games are almost certainly better/easier.
Games usually have a studio, publisher, and may also have licensed content from another artist of some sort (music, celebrity likeness, etc). Depending on how the existing contract is written, it may require renegotiation, new payments, or an entirely new contract altogether with all the parties involved, some of whom may no longer be aro...
You can also stick any legal PS1 disc you have in a PS3 without CFW or any other horsesh*t. So that's an even better solution.
I have an old "case of beer" size box full of PS1 games in their original jewel cases (some are even in those huge old original oversized boxes). Life is good.
It's cool to hate Call of Duty on interwebz message boards but the fact is it's the most popular gaming series in the freaking world right now. Sure, someday soon, it'll probably start to experience a down swing like Guitar Hero or Tony Hawk or One on One fighting games that were all the rage in the 90s. Okay, cool, SO WHAT?
that doesn't change the fact that right now, EVERYONE is playing it and it is a freaking blast. I love the MP FPSs. I have since Quake. ...
"And more confusing for the general North American consumer"
Most of us have gone to college, I think we can handle the complexity of the PSP line up. LOL.
PSP has sold 60million+ units. As of 10/2010 it has outsold both the Xbox 360 and PS3. If that is what you "If you ain't first, you're last!" in-bred hater morons call failure I think Sony probably hopes the PSP2 will "fail" in just the same way.
The PSP is a spectacular success from a business perspective. The Sonys are the Ferraris of handhelds not the Volkswagens. They cost more, they don't sell as many, but which one do you WANT?
I've got ME1 on my 360 but passed on ME2 because I felt 1 was a good enough but was way overrated and my game queue is just too full to play a sequel of a game that was just "good enough". Believe it or not it's possible to genuinely not be bowled over by ME and not be a fanboy/hater.
"honestly have no clue how Activision's PR people work. Do they just huff glue, smash their heads against the window and then decide to do the first thing that comes to mind?
How on Earth do they imagine getting into a war with EA is good for their image? "
MORON. If you took even half a second to read anything past the headline you'd realize this is part of their lawsuit with Infinity Ward. It's NOT a PR campaign for the company. It'...
LOL. MAG is a clusterf*ck too unless you play with a clan. Expecting 60+ randoms to come together and play an online shooter as a team without any preparation is asking a bit much, even if the game supports a "command" structure.
