We are still being held back by Series S, and Switch 2 will also end up becoming that "lowest common denominator" moving forward as well. We still can't have any experiences that don't fit into their memory, or processing capabilities, if it is a multiplatform game.
who sets the standard for what is to be considered a A, AA, or AAA game? Seems rather arbitrary to me.

GTA has always used in-engine cutscenes, so there isn't any difference in quality between the cutscenes and gameplay to begin with.
Both Microsoft and Nintendo have mentioned the "changing market conditions" and tariffs specifically as why they are jacking up the prices of their consoles and delaying pre-orders. Yes, things were and always have been getting more expensive, but not like this. This is a sudden jump of a significant amount across the board.

It's one of the best games on PS5. Really addictive. It's good old fashioned arcade action, and the map reconfigures itself every time you die, so it's never the same game twice.
With these reckless trade wars going on, expect videogames to keep getting more expensive.

Maybe Sony doesn't need competition in the niche it has in the console market. Nintendo doesn't have competition in the corner it has carved out for itself... PC doesn't have competition because by nature, PC's are designed to be more powerful than consoles and PC gamers are expected to pay the premium required to do so. If someone else comes in, maybe it needs to be in a way that shakes up the market instead of just having another copycat that gives gamers within those respec...
This may work out better in the end, as they have a bit more creative license than they would if it were a MvC game.
