The main drawback to the Macs is the RAM structure and bandwidth. The CPU and GPU share the same pool of RAM, and therefore the same bandwidth. Then couple the GPU being weaker on paper, and it's crippled out of the gate.
The only benefit to the M1 chip is if you edit video and shoot on ProRes, the hardware ProRes decoding is a nice feature (though worthless to me, as I don't shoot prores)... but it is only available currently for Final Cut, so your options are very...
no they didn't...
Why it won't matter: Sony has better games to put on PS+.
Purrfect use of this game.
The caveat being, PS2 didn't reach that number the moment PS3 launched, that is lifetime sales the entire time it was being sold. There are still PS4's being sold, so until they stop making them, this number is set to change.
@snookies12, don't pretend like the Xbox One didn't struggle with being gimpled by its tiny pool of ESRAM as a frame buffer. It was significantly weaker than the PS4.
They lost me at "Games like FIFA or Fortnite are just as big, if not bigger." The money each of those games brings in begs to differ.
N has done a good job of carving out a niche that lets them co-exist with the other consoles. They provide portability and their classic line of first party games, the others provide the epic state of the art experiences meant for the home theater or VR headset.
Nintendo is going to squeeze this cash cow for every penny it is worth before they even think about new hardware, which doesn't really matter because the new hardware will be underpowered by current standards anyway.
@silly
At least they can brag that they managed to get a fifth exclusive out the door...
This is the case with any new feature, though. The same applies to reactive triggers.
AIm being affected is part of it... having your heart beat actually jerk the analog sticks around instead of just moving your reticle around on screen (like in MGS when you had to take diazepam in order to calm your heart down enough to shoot the sniper rifle, imagine your analog stick itself doing the moving... or if you hit a curb in Gran Turismo, feeling it jerk the wheel.
COD: Vanguard was the top grossing game by revenue ($200,000,000+) of 2021, mobile included. The world has not yet moved on from it.
As I said, every dev of a popular game gets threats... yet they keep doing their jobs, they don't cut off contact with the people whose money keeps their studio open. Bungie is the only one, and I'm not buying that they aren't using this as an excuse for that reason. Politicians get death threats, they still vote. Musicians get death threats, they still play shows. Actors get death threats, they still make movies. Allowing a threat to prevent you from doing your job is allowing th...
That has got to be the saddest excuse i've ever heard for price gouging. "You just don't get the value." No, I get the value of adding new vehicles to a simulator. And it's not half the cost of the damn game. They're nickle and diming you and you're cherring them on for it... thus hurting the industry as a whole now that they know they can get away with it.
"more value than a AAA game" ... hilarious. AAA games take as long as several...
half the cost of a new AAA game, for a plane.
This is a cop-out excuse... every game developer gets death threats and the like... that is no excuse to not do their job. If the threats worry them so much, they need to close their doors for good and get a safer job.
But they don't, that's the thing. If they did, politicians would be having folks arrested left and right.
and people were worried PS+ monthly games would start sucking because of premium...
Though, I gotta laugh at them saying "better AI" and then the video shows the player get behind a large gun turret and mow down row after row of enemies that just blindly run towards them.
