No console is worth buying for one game.
Over internet, perhaps, but over local connections, which is where most of this is, that is not the case. In either case, streaming has always been limited to 720p. PC's pull off higher res streams, which is why I believe it is hardware related.
I believe the 720p is a hardware limitation. They included a hardware based video encoder in PS4 to handle the streaming stuff, and that is the same hardware that takes care of remote play. I think that chip is limited to 720p... it originally was limited to 720p30, but they unlocked 60fps later on with a firmware upgrade.
I imagine this is one thing that PS4K would expand upon if there is one. 1080p60 streaming.
Yeah! Then I can play this new game at its MAXED settings!

CRAP!!!
There is no fragmentation if both systems run the exact same games, and there are no games made to exclusively take advantage of something the older system cannot do. As long as a PS4K didn't have ANY exclusive content (as in not available for PS4 also), I see no problem with it.
Comparing an RPG, which is meant to be slower paced, to an action/shooter is apples to oranges. Even for an RPG, I never found FF's cutscenes to be intrusive on the gameplay.
Exactly. Taking risks is about preparation. You don't just take the risk, you calculate its benefit. The cost benefit analysis should have stood out clearly to them on this one. People want to play games, not watch them. Metal Gear Solid tip-toed right up to the line of being too much "watch" vs. "play" (especially 4), but this game obviously (I haven't played it yet.) stepped right on over it. Probably the nature of the live action vs. gameplay... MGS blended its ...
Whatever official reason they chose to go with, I'm just glad they did it. She doesn't need a job dealing with anything to do with children.
real kids or not, she is still advocating that children be allowed to be sexualized and that paedophiles be free to buy pornography that glorifies a very illegal and harmful activity that can and does scar children for life, both mentally and physically.
Also, her twitter comments make no mention of the children not being real. She straight up mentions defending child porn (not animated child porn) and the sexualization of children.
Sorry, but that excuse do...
Be careful, you might get your comment censored saying such truthful things around here.
She flat out admitted she was defending sexualization of children, and child pornography (where children engage in sex acts). She is a paedophile and should be closely investigated by authorities in addition to being fired (her husband as well). She could be ruining childrens' lives, and she definitely is advocating others be free to do so (you need to be able to produce child porn for people to be able to consume it, and she thinks that's ok and defends people's "right"...
I'd like to know why all the posts talking about WHY she got fired are being flagged as off topic. That couldn't be any more on topic... She got fired, people are going to discuss why. Get over it.
Just because Japan or any other country may have different views on it doesn't make it right in any way, and as a spokesperson for an international corporation that targets children as a primary demographic, she should have known that... and she didn't say she was fighting for looser laws regarding teenagers... she explicitly said children. Not only that, but she didn't just mention them being naked, but "sexualized". In other words, she is advocating people having sex w...
This thing is a ripoff. For $5,000, you can pick up a 5,000-7,000 lumen projector. Also, they don't advertise the native resolution of the projector, which isn't making a good case for their product. 3,000 lumens is WAY too dim though... even if it is an ultra short throw.
As long as you know what you are looking for, you can find a way better projector for cheaper than that.

It wouldn't be without precedent. Sony has always been the most open console manufacturer. The only one to let you install an OS on your console. The first one to offer cross platform play with PC, the one with the least paywalls, etc.
"Highly Optimized for AMD"
One thing I don't miss about being a PC gamer. Having a monster rig and then realizing the publisher struck some backroom deal with a competing hardware manufacturer so that the game won't run as well on my system.
Honestly, these days, a cartridge setup would be the technically superior route. An SD based cartridge would have faster transfer rates, seek times, and larger capacity. It would cost the publishers more to make, though.
Then you see that screen in motion, and the aliasing kills the illusion.
DC is still the best looking racer to date.
Yet pre-orders for Oculus and PSVR have been selling out. Oculus orders are backed up until August. I think this is just another analyst talking out of their ass.
