I own a wii, and so I don't see what you mean by this. Are you implying that people in their teens, or twenties, or people who "can afford" a more expensive console would buy a PS3/360 instead of a wii?
If that is the case, I am afraid you are mistaken. You would be surprised at how many people in that demographic actually choose to buy a wii, for themselves, and not for their kids.

Thanks, and you are correct. Real gamers will not bash a console simply because they don't like it. The wii, while being the weakest console this generation still manages to deliver something different, that just happens to appeal to a greater audience.

Core gamers don't play wii, or have no interest in it? That is false, since I would consider myself a core gamer. I play mostly PC games, and wii games. When I want eye-candy, why would I play console games? They don't even support proper anti-aliasing, or _insert_fancy_algorithm_here_.

Dude, you really should get this game on a PC. A PC running an nVidia 7000 series GPU will run this game without breaking a sweat (In case you didn't know, that is the level of GPU performance offered by your precious XBox or PS3)

BTW: I have a wii, and I have bought several 3rd party titles. So I don't care what fanboys think. 3rd party games do sell on the wii, but they have to be good games to sell well. Nintendo dominates because they make the best games for the console. Period.

Consoles, like pretty much anything that is intended for mass consumption take years to develop. Same as software, by the time something hits the market, the next version of it is provably in the very early stages of development...
WiiFit is a game, and shouldn't be considered to be anything other than a game. It is a game about fitness, that is it. Not a replacement for proper exercise and diet.

Let me enlighten you. Polygon count (this is what we are talking about here when we mention graphics) has nothing to do with the quality of a game.
Nintendo games such as Mario or Zelda tend to have so much "extra" stuff in them and that is what separates these games from the sea of games out there. Subtleties, such as hidden interaction with characters, and the like are what separate Nintend...

I am sorry, but this is only interesting as an exercise, but not as a practical application since most people already have a DVD player. Not to mention that using a console as a DVD player is just silly, unless you are using it to replace your existing DVD player. Using a PS3 as a blu-ray player, and console at the same time makes sense. Using a wii as a DVD player does not.
