"I dont know if is only me, but this game looks gay."
Yeah, it's just you.
This review just further backs what I was saying in another topic:
"It's been said that there are no more original ideas, and Lost Odyssey is the most damning proof yet."
I agree with you.
Either way this clarification was important. If it gets released in 2009 people will think it was delayed and will get pissy, and if it doesn't, at least they can have some media attention and some hype from an announcement later on.
Downloading true HD content isn't feasible with the required disk space, and average internet speeds it will require. It seems more like a hassle than anything else.
It is only a matter of time before the security features are broken. Making it a hard sell for movie studios to be encouraged to make their content easily downloadable; and in time, easily shared.
You also still have the issue of getting HD downloads from your computer to your television. Streaming is no...
I also miss the lost list feature, but I never really felt any performance issues on the site prior to the update.
Oops, I should have phrased that better. I meant that I'm glad they agree that he deserved a spot on the list.
I agree that they are probably not in any significant order.
You would have to think that your character will be able to die through injury, otherwise there is very little keeping you on the edge of your seat.
As for FF12 I didn't mind the battle system. Square Enix once again tried something new and it wasn't perfect, but it was a change. I relied a lot less on gambits than most when playing and I didn't mind it at all. If you ever have the chance attempt to play it with two simple gambits. 1 to attack party leader target, and the second ...
I think that is exactly why there are no new ideas in the industry. The consumer is going to stick to the same types of games, and the publishers are going to keep releasing the same games because it sells. It is a cycle that I'm tired of.
I'm guessing a lot of people around here have tried to crack into the industry. So a few will relate to this. I've been working for a publisher for a while now, on the side I do some character modeling but it is mostly a hobby now. I've seen ti...
Although I agree with most of your points jaja, in this day and age with so many games fighting for your attention, releasing a game that is roughly a rehash of a number of other games is going to have to fight really hard for my attention. If for whatever reason you find yourself riding a weird yellow bird in this game, remember I told you so. lol
I won't be playing this game because the story failed to capture my attention. An RPG with a story you are tired of, or one that fail...
If I remember correctly, Poison was removed because of violence against women. The whole transsexual thing was because of a failed attempt to turn her into a transsexual to get away with this "violence". In the end she was replaced, but in the original design she was very much a woman.
As for Sheng Long, that would be incredible to have him exist. Wasn't he supposed to be this all powerful being that had an over powered version of every signature attack in the game? It ...
I'd say that it is a coincidence. The character model doesn't look all that similar to Leah.
I'd say it is more due to how the character design in Final Fantasy games tend to get their inspiration for their characters from a mixed Asian/Western style. Which Leah (with her ethnicities being Chinese, Filipino and French) could relate with.
I'm personally sick of the whole main character who is "unable to remember his past" storyline, it's been done before. The story has zero appeal to me. There are moments of great artistic direction, and then they get away from the FMV and show gameplay video and the bubble bursts. I do find that the timing with the circle feature is pretty cool, and can break up the whole button mashing tendency, but even that will get tiresome.
It seems like a game with potential, but ...
Wow these guys spin more often than the discs they attempt to sell.
The audio is well done in this game. From all the videos that I have seen that is one of the major things that popped out at me. The last video posted here is a good example.
It might just get me to finally buy the wii.
I used to think that 44 character selection screen was fake as well, but I'm not sure any more after watching this:

I used to be a Sega guy, but wasn't bowser called King Koopa early on? Since they are adding demos to classic games on the disc, maybe they thought the name was more fitting? He still belongs to the koopa race, so that shouldn't throw you off from believ...
Psycho Mantis was number 1 on my list, I am glad they agree.
That boss battle was well done. Especially how they utilized various console features to their advantage. How he would read and comment on the content of your memory cards (Konami games only, I believe), or how you had to unplug your controller and put it in the second port to stop him from reading your mind and predicting your next move. He even set off your rumble. Not many games tried these type of things.
Like a lot of people the wait for this game has been harsh. With that said, I hope they don't release the game sooner than they have to. I don't mind waiting a few months if it means that things are smooth.
Since it is Square Enix we are talking about, I don't think that would be an issue. These people are perfectionists.
The problem with people who wish to "remain incognito" is that they have zero credibility. It could be my dislike for Kotaku, but these guys seem less and less professional each day. If only I had the time to create a blog of my own, than people would listen. lol.
Like most rumours, I'll wait for something official.
One thing is for sure, those who bought the HDDVD add-on are not feeling very victorious right about now.
And no, Microsoft is no where on the list of qualifying as the victor of the blu-ray win. Get a grip. You lost, you should be used to it by now.
The spin you guys apply to everything is so messed up. It is as if you people have built a delusional world where your 360 never breaks, and Microsoft wins everything... somehow. Maybe it is to cope with how you got scre...
