I can't wait either.
This quote stood out the most for me:
"The people living in the world of Versus XIII worship a Shinigami"
After reading that I do have to say that the lead character does have some similarities with Light Yagami, which is bloody awesome.
It would be nice if summons were replaced with Shinigami.
"Obama you just owned yourself "under five hours on normal difficulty" apperently this game can be beaten in 5 on the hardest difficulty. Halo 3 has longer gameplay than this, and Gears is tapping at that MGS4 door. Keep em comming dumbsh!t, soon there will be no need at all to own you, you will come in preowned."
Speaking of being owned, here is a Halo 3 SPEEDRUN performed in 77 minutes:
Some of you people are extremely retarded. Trust me when I say that none of you could complete this game in 5 hours.
The guy is performing a speedrun. He has skipped every confrontation, every story element, and every piece of the game. Yes it took him 5 hours to complete it in this fashion, but he skipped through the whole game.
He is also using insanely strong weapons that can only be obtained through beating the game a few times, and judging from his technique he ...
After beating MGS4, I don't even think it is worth wasting my time on such an opinion like yours. One good 360 game won't do shat to the PS3. It didn't last gen, and it won't this gen.
Wingman is a great addition, however proximity mines just ruined the game for me. Proximity mines were the worst invention in video games to date. In one of the games I worked on they were eventually removed because there is just no real way to make them effective without ruining the flow of the game. I don't even have to bring up goldeneye, anyone who has played that heavily knows what I am talking about... now imagine not being able to respawn. Proximity mines and the button mashing saw fig...
"EPIC says that the story in Gears 2 will make up for the lack of depth."
Sorry to burst your bubble but Epic have always failed when it comes to story. Don't get your hopes up for anything more than mindless shooting and gore for this game. It's a bit late to try and stuff a story into a sequel, especially when the original title had a pathetic story at best. What do you build off of? Do you pretend that Marcus had any character or emotion? He didn't have any what-so-e...
I thought it was a pretty good game on the PC. It is a bit weird to see that so many people didn't like it. You actually feel like you are working as a team, if you don't work as a team you will more than likely fail most missions (Unless you are playing at a pathetically easy setting).
I guess since I played it during LAN battles at work, it probably seemed more fun than it actually was.
This review is not a PS3 review only. The same review is posted for the 360 section. I have no clue why IGN does that.

"what u talking about? u mean sony should steal from u 50$ to play online to have a service?"
lol, I think I prefer to not pay $50 to deal with all that lag. Getting smooth gameplay for free sounds better to me.
"Europe/a bunch of countries... against 1 country... North America.... "
-Bladestar
I hope to visit this "country" you call North America. Like usual, Bladestar your knowledge is dead on.
lol, I know the guy behind the creation of Sam Fisher. We work for the same company now. I bet he'll be glad to know that his creation is 8th worst. At least he will be glad of this: "Once a great, iconic character - now one in freefall due to a genuine lack of imagination on the part of his creators."
P.S. The original Sam Fisher was inspired by a mix of George Clooney and the artist himself.
Other music games will also benefit from this, Rock Band/GH for example.
Singstar will be great though, I can remember some incredibly funny matches that were just made for youtube.
This would be awesome for a game like Little Big Planet, or GTA 4. Heck even GOW3 or GT.
Aaron Greenberg should take a few notes from Shane Kim on how to not be a complete douche, but still get your point across. I don't agree with a lot of what Kim said, but it is understandable to hear it coming from him. Greenberg on the other hand is a complete tool, at least I can somewhat respect Shane Kim and he isn't being a complete hypocrite. He is saying what you would expect to come out of his mouth and isn't coming across as a two yearold.
I guess now that they don't have many exclusives left, and they are losing their previous exclusives at a rate to be concerned about, it isn't much of a stretch to expect them to try these desperate acts. Microsoft PR are like the average forum user. They don't know when to keep their mouth shut.
Do these guys forget how long they have been hyping Alan Wake and Too Human for? Sony isn't the only guilty party. Is it wrong to advertise future features when you are selling someone a...
Countdowns are too overused, I'm glad they went with a countup. That is completely original. Way to revolutionize with something different.
Have people seriously run out of ideas in this industry?
I hope they go by IP for these type of things, I have like 20 xbox live accounts just to take advantage of the free month when you first sign on. I bet many people do the same. When I go to a buddies house to play some Gears/Rock Band, I want to use my own username.
PS3 users are likely to have at least 3 PSN accounts. Territorial reasons.
I guess my top 5 would be pretty similar with theirs. The only exception is that I'd drop Smash Bros down the list. I'd give it a 8:1.
GTA 4 (PS3, 360) - 3:2
Smash Bros (Wii) - 5:2 (Should be 8:1)
MGS4 (PS3) - 3:1
GeOW2 (360) - 3.5:1
Little Big Planet (PS3) - 4:1
Resistance 2 (PS3) - 5:1
Not to mention GTA getting all those perfect scores... somehow.
MGS4 doesn't stand a chance with a lot of the reviewers since it is a PS3 only title. I bet only looking for the negatives in a game would ruin the experience. lol
This game looks incredible. I love the Final Fantasy meets real world feeling they are shooting for. Not to mention the dark edge, and the mention of Shinigami. This game keeps sounding better and better. The series needed a serious change, and I think Versus is finally going to make a significant one. Like the battle system.
