It probably wouldn't make my list of PS3 games to buy. I've played the other games in the franchise and I don't get the hype surrounding it.
I met some animators from Koei Canada and the lead animator was a professor of mine, in fact we are still in contact. Although he spent almost all his time animating, his modeling skills would put most modelers in the industry to shame. There are some really talented people out there that don't get enough credit, even some that are multifaceted.
I personally prefer Left 4 Dead over Ninja Gaiden and Alan Wake. I'm sure that isn't a popular opinion, but I've never been a Ninja Gaiden fan, and the Alan Wake static meshes (and character models) don't appeal to me. Some meshes look decent, others look horrible. When you go for realism and miss the target it ends up being kind of awkward. Left 4 Dead though looks insanely fun. Again, that's my personal opinion.
Lists like these should only be posted when the full list is onl...
"Sony had promissed that the powerfull PS3 would have better graphics then the compitition. It seems they're just on par with the 360."
I finally agree with The Mart. Weird ain't it?
I do agree that multi-platform games are not showing the true potential of the PS3. I also agree that releasing a game that looks equal in the graphics department between the 360 and PS3 version has caused the PS3 version to be restricted due to the lower specs of the 360 h...
I like the direction both these games have traveled in. The light versus dark contrast between them really helped to separate the two products from each other. This franchise seems to have once again been able to reinvent itself, while keeping the key elements in place from their success. It might be too early to say that, but I can almost guarantee these two games will not fall short from their mark. Square Enix is just too good to allow it to happen.
Bubble for you, you made some great points.
I'll believe it when I see it.
I don't know where the "popular opinion" came from that the original Killzone was a bad game, when I played it I actually didn't mind it. If there is anything that shouldn't be believed, it is all the negative feedback Killzone supposedly had. Sure some things could have been better, but people are blowing it out of proportions to the point where I need to question whether they played the game at all.
With that said, unles...
Smash Brothers will probably put a good spike in Wii sales. There are people like me who hasn't taken the Wii seriously and has had no desire for the hype. Smash Brothers on the other hand is a game with great mechanics, that actual "gamers" want.
Heck I would get a Wii when SB comes out if I could, but there are just too many PS3 titles in 2008. I wouldn't be surprised if some 360 owners looked for entertainment elsewhere in 2008 and bought the Wii as a secondary con...
Maybe I'll add you to xbox live Mart, is Xbox Live up yet? I hope my subscription doesn't end soon. The term "Xbox Live Arcade" really does make a lot of sense. You can't keep playing without paying.
The PS3 by default comes with composite cables. If you are using other wiring for your tests, shouldn't you adjust the settings to reflect the change?
Running the PS3 version on default is bull shat. Every setup is different, and not changing your settings to reflect your setup is simply retarded.
All games by default tend to have the default resolution at a 4:3 aspect ratio. Are you saying that widescreen users should judge their playing experience by keeping th...
It isn't needed. There is no real practical use for it.
It is still a nice perk though, if true.
I was talking about ad campaigns, since this topic is related to trailers.
Stop being anal tools.
Sony was right all along. These clown reviewers do need manuals to do their jobs properly. In fact there are no requirements to become a game "reviewer".
Who claims to make a fair comparison between two versions, when they deliberately affect the results of their comparisons so they aren't a fair comparison? At least they get a lot of hits out of this.
I've been looking forward to FF13 for some time now, in fact it was number one on my list. Little did I know that Versus 13 would come along and take that position away. I was expecting something great from Versus, but it looks to be beyond my expectations, and exactly what the franchise needed.
So you didn't enjoy the Halo campaign, Uncharted, or Gears of War? Not only were they CG, but they weren't even in the game. (The list goes on and on)
It isn't like this is anything new. Except Square has a history of exceeding current expectations of even CG content, which is quite limitless.
Vista has become a nightmare for the video game industry. I'm tired of all the complaints that get sent in to us about how a game we released years before Vista is now not compatible with Vista.
I don't know anyone who is running Vista on their home PC, the few who I know that bought it has reinstalled XP.
This is going to throw the Wii fans off. Seeing actual accuracy and meaning to your movements must not be comprehensible to them.
I remember playing Wii sports sitting down randomly waving my hand diagonally and people got mad because they couldn't beat me in their boxing stance working up a sweat.
At least Red Steel was flawless.
Are you people retarded? Ratings have absolutely nothing to do with whether a game is AAA, or not. Stop believing everything you read in a forum.
I work for a Publisher, trust me.
That's a lame list. There are better games coming out for the 360 than that. Why didn't they stick to exclusive titles to prove their point?
Ninja Gaiden? Alan Wake? Left for Dead?
With that said, the PS3 is still the console to look out for in 2008... Yeah I had to throw that in.
This looks fake. The character images have no artistic direction at all. Just random images pulled from random locations.
