Welcome
As for the ridiculous article
I'll just leave thus here

MS already stated that Kinect will work on the S with a free adaptor
Apparently they know exactly what they are doing

I think MS agenda is very clear:
Buy this console and play these games
not
Buy this console and these games will come in a couple years. if all goes well.
Well done
I see a lot of "1.5 years"
But where is the list for Sony?
TLG; 2006
How about Agent; 2007
I think it's obvious the 2 companies have a different agenda; one shows games that a consumer can play soon (months) after they purchase the console.
The other shows mostly games that the consumer will wait years to play.
Peter Moore said it best in...
Please do
Start with The Last Guardian and then move to Agent.
At the MS 2015 E3 Phil pointed out was was coming that year (90 % of the conference) and what was coming later.
Let's call it a matter of interpretation:
If I'm buying a console this year I want to know what I'm getting with it; that same year.
I don't want to buy a console in 2007 because I saw a preview for:
-The Last guardian and
-Agent
only to wait 10 years.
Peter Moore was right, "It's easy to promise the future"
and IMO, it's also deceptive. ...
For me
It was the manufacturer that showed 7 games with a release date in the next 9 months...MS, (just 1 game in development)
Sony showed 5 games in development and 3 with a release date.
That's par for the course
I didn't see a lot of dates attached to games.
As the article states, and I have stated before:
I like how MS shows games that are soon to release, seems very genuine. As Peter Moore told Geoff Knightly back in 2007; "It's easy to promise the future"
I like the fact that 7 of 8 MS games have a release date this year, one early next year.
For Sony, 5 o...
@ GT
That does not answer the question as to why Apple (and most every company on earth) sells different priced versions of their products.
Great point
I would add that Apple stills sells cheaper phones at the same time as their premier phone.
It's all about choice.
I prefer consoles
Glad we will have a 4K option
Where you watching the same show?
All games will work on all consoles; "no one gets left behind"
A Honda civic is one of the best selling cars EVERY year, but you can buy the Acura version (ILX) and it is far superior in every way. So why isn't the Civic obsolete?
Why do 20m+ ppl buy COD on console every year and not on PC? What has been the incentive to sell 60m PS4's and XO's over 60m gaming PC's?
...
Since you own a console and not a PC we can assume you are a console gamer
Good news
Scorpio will play games at 4K
No need for a gaming PC, just enjoy the console.
It is gaming PC's that are becoming obsolete.
That's why every year 20m ppl buy COD on console even though it's on PC
That's like saying that sales of the Lexus IS will hurt sales of Corolla.
Different consoles meet different budgets
Edit @ below
Please show me where there are "thousands of different types of consoles", I see 3.
History shows numerous instances where 2 consoles were being sold at the same time by the same company, example PS3 and PS2. Was that a "flawed analogy"?
Seems pretty obvious to me
Why does Toyota make Corolla's and Lexus IS; same answer.
It depends on ones budget
Really
I have some bad news for your agenda:
