Crackdown is to release in the "short term" and it has been demoed using the cloud and doing destruction on a level never seen before.
Well done 360
10 1/2 years was a great run.
Love the support it got right to the end as well as it got top releases along with the X1, Forza Horizon 2, TitanFall, TombRaider, etc
I think the 360's run was more inline with what ppl want when they spend top dollar on a console...to know they are the cream of that manufactures crop for, in this case, 8 years (before the X1 came out).
The sales of over 85m consoles in...
10 1/2 years, that's a great run.
MS is surely proud of the 360.
I disagree
The X1 is know for 2 things directly related to it's size:
1. it runs cool
2. (as a result of 1) it runs quiet
IMO I would be more "embarrassed" to have a component in my entertainment centre that sounded like a vacuum cleaner.
Defiantly interesting to look at all the stuff we take for granted.
Xbox really led the way in innovation:
"It's quite difficult to imagine gaming without things like achievements, online friends, Gamertags and other things of that nature. They have become staples of every platform's structure and achievements are something many gamers, such as myself, pride themselves on earning. Xbox has been an extremely important and innovative platform and i...
Thanks Chris
I certainly do enjoy my piece of plastic.
That's why I'm here on an article about one particular piece of plastic and not spamming an article that I have no interest in.
from the article:
"I’m simply trying to give the Xbox One credit where it is due and ensure gamers do not overlook the Xbox One and the experiences available this system."
Cheers
lol
You're changing what you said Mike
You asked for a reason why sales would be double and I pointed to the HUGE discrepancy in markets
To your second point, Latin America says Hello, and when you figure out why X1 sell better their you will also know why it sold worse elsewhere, price (initially %100 higher).
If I was talking to a 6 year old I could go into into-American sentiment, but I suspect you already know everything...
*******However, you also have to question the logic in calling a product the "best" product on the market when it's struggling to sell half as well as its closest competitor. *****
That's not logic, it's a lac of information.
One sells in 124 Countries
The other 42
Pretty simple
Justin Bieber thanks you for your analysis.
I agree with the article and point to another article on the top 50 games in the UK.
The most exclusive that the public bought where on X1, by a margin of 3 to 1,, the figures don't lie
Yes, very impressive to see 6 exclusives in a sea of multiplatform games
And there's only one exclusive in the top ten
Congrats to 343 and Halo 5
Nice list
Great follow up to 2015.
Really looking forward to Gears
Quantum Break as well
Crackdown has the potential to be a real game changer with Cloud compute.
MS says there will be surprises at E3 as well
It will be multi some time next year
It's timed
and console exclusive for almost all of 2016 as well
What else can you play it on in 2015?
Great score
Great to see the sales shooting past 500k after just 3 weeks
Mosty multiplatform games as expected
But good to see a couple of exclusives for the Xbox on the list;
Halo 5
ROTR
both very deserving
Great year
Great AAA (all scoring very well) and indie games
Great fan service with FREE Backward Compatibility on an ever growing list
Great UI update
That's funny because:
Apple
MS
Google
are all heavily invested in AR.
Please name the companies that are bigger than the aforementioned companies and are investing in VR?
"Worldwide Xbox Black Friday sales in the Xbox Store broke records with an increase of 57 percent across Xbox One and Xbox 360, global Xbox Live Gold subscriptions were up over 40 percent, and U.S. Xbox One console sales at retail were up 22 percent over the same period last year, making it the second biggest Black Friday week in 15 years of Xbox history in the U.S."
Congrats X1, great to see the brand continuing to expand each generation.
Edit...
Really/s
Because Digital Foundry says different from 2005 to present:

Perhaps you should ask yourself why the PS install base went from 160m PS2 to 80m PS3?
While your at it, ask yourself why Xbox went from 24m to 85m+?
In case you didn't notice, both questions are connected, Sony's loss of 80m wa...
