I agree with reading a review for input, and understand bell curves, but the math for averages doesn't work out even given completely matched fanboys, example:

An outstanding game deserving of a 9

8 users score it a 9
1 fanboy a 10
1 fanboy a 0

Game gets a 8.2, lower than it deserves.

Now throw in a larger hating fan base (like here).

7 users score 9
1 fanboy a 10
2 fanboys...

I personnally go by the main score, it's done by industry professionals (supposedly). Most are similar with some score way off for click bait.

The user review is a total waste in my opinion. While I appreciate that some take the time to truly score things like graphics, control, sound, gameplay, etc...too many fanboy losers just slap a score of 0 or 10. It becomes more of a vote than a score, a popularity contest, ergo useless.

That was a good read, nice to see some prices included. I just updated my PC but held off on the video card. Maybe when Half-life 3 comes out?

100% agree, it's only overblown by the trolls.

Not too many next gen games hit 60fps at 1080p, and, as the article said, one game that said it did is getting sued.

And the game that got the award for best graphics was 900p.

Impressive to see a 9 year old console looking so good, but clearly the PC and X1 have the advantage.

Almost all the games are multi platform now and, while subjective, many have said that X1 has the better holiday line-up.

Good article, shows a lot of evolution for the X1 UI.

Good customer relations as well.

I personally got the wrong edition delivered, probably do to the credit card company updating their security and changing my card, causing me to re-order. But MS sent me a new console and cut me a discount.

Not surprising that voice commands are not established in every language yet.

I like Metacritic, the professional review part. I like to see an average of what IGN and others have scored. Some sites are way off, click bait, usually doesn't effect an average of near 100 reviewers.

The users scores, useless, less of a review and more of a vote from trolls. May as well have just 2 choices, 0 and 10. Some ppl are honest, but a lot are haters like a lot of the ppl on this site that say they don't like MS but show up on EVERY MS article.
