Think carefully about what you said.
If a manufacturer released a new product and withheld information on another product coming the next year that would be deceptive.
MS has been transparent, and no amount of spin will change that fact.
Look at your small list Genuine
You had to include cancelled games to buff it up, lol
Without those about half the small list is of games that released the next year.
Now see how big the list is Rookie made?
That's the point
Anyone can cherry pick
But MS consistently delivers an E3 with an emphasis on what a purchaser can expect to play in the year of purchase.
Looks fantastic
One has to remind oneself that this is an open world game and not an on rails track racer.
Really
When I look at MS and E3 I feel I am informed:
-I know what MS consoles are coming out this year and next
-I know the release dates of the games MS showed
That's called "transparency", and it helps me make an informed decision.
I can't say the same about other conferences.
So you are proposing to address "Consumer Confusion" how?
Walk in...
There is a free adaptor for Kinect if you chose.
Your list is missing some games from E3 2015:
GOW Ultimate addition...released
ROTR...released
Halo 5...released
Rare Replay..released
PvsZ 2...released
Thank you
Thank you for not baiting ppl with games that are years off. It's good to get a glimpse of some stuff coming down the pipe but if I'm making a purchase in 2016 it will be based off games coming out in 2016. If I'm excited for games coming out in 2017 or 2018 then I may as well wait on my purchase, and by then things could be different.
Great to hear that 14 unknown games will be shown when they are closer to production so that buy...
"Perhaps the Scorpio is for the hardcore, the most dedicated Xbox gamers, and the slim is a new and affordable entry point for those coming from the Xbox 360; and while that sounds perfectly reasonable, we're still confused as to why they'd announce them at the same time."
Sounds perfectly clear
Or perhaps Samsung has never released a 4k and a 1080p tv at the same time..CES
Perhaps Dell never...
Perhaps Apple...
The author seems confused
I don't think math is his strong point as both manufactures showed 8 games at E3
The author is also concerned that developers are working on games for product to be released "in about 2 years time", but at the same time praises games that have no release date and we may well not see "in about 2 years time".
The author also stated that MOST 4K tv's cost over 2000 pounds????
...
Who are you trying to convince?
Hint:
Check Black Ops sales since it went BC
Sold better than most new games that week.
I think it boils down to MS research
Phil said gamers told them what they wanted
MS is delivering on both fronts
Just like:
Dell...more than 1 option
iPhone..more than 1 option
Samsung tvs..more than 1 option
the list goes on forever, look around you where ever you are now and tell me what product didn't have options?
Rugs
Desks
light fixtu...
Kinda like VR then
Yes
Just like Halo 3, Halo 6 will set a sales numbers for MS that can't be matched.
The biggest game of 2017
Perhaps a "Halo Reach" remaster in 4k, then Halo 6 then.
Either way, it will be GINORMOUS.
Agree
However you can see from the disagrees that pointing out the facts is not popular.
I do think it is a great idea to give the consumer options and to make those options known so ppl can make an informed decision.
As the article states, there is also a big difference in when you can expect to play the games:
MS showed games all releasing in the next 9 months; I like that realistic approach; seems more genuine, as ...
If you don't already have one, then yes
If you can't wait for Scorpio and want HDR and 4k video, then yes
Great to have options and a company that is transparent.
Can you imagine if you only had one choice from:
Dell
Apple
Samsung
The list goes on
I think 2 points are being mixed in the paragraph.
I believe what is being said is that MS says:
"Here is our console, and if you buy it, you can play these 8 games within the next 9 months"
Whereas Sony says:
"Here is VR and 5 of the 8 games we showed are in development"
I think you missed my point
Most games consumers buy on console are multiplatorm (90%+):
COD...20m+ EVERY year on console
GTA...even more (not every year)
the list goes on
If ppl suddenly go PC (it's laughable because why haven't they for most games already) then 90% of the games they buy on console would be on PC.
Either way MS gets the $$$
And I did get its poi...
Great to see ll these games with the release dates.
Another great holiday for MS.
Sony is afraid of EA Access and won't allow gamers the choice
Do you really think they would open up to the MS Store?
Games are developed on PCs
One of the benefits of the Xbox is the ability to rapidly transform games from PC to work on the X1.
Just as PC with different hardware scale performance, so will Xbox.
We've already seen the same games on different generations:
TitanFall
Forza horizon 2
COD
the list goes on.
