Bluepoint and House Marque are ripe for the picking. Hope Sony grabs those two up before anyone else does.
That’s what I’ve been asking. Once the worlds most powerful console demoted to the red-headed step-child. Notice they don’t mention OneX game performances next to SeriesS often likely because the older console often beats it.
I remember back thinking twin (SLI) 980 ti graphics cards should’ve “been enough” to run 4k60 gaming consistently, before ray tracing mind you. Lol. Boy was I wrong
I’ll take it. I loved some Zombies ate my neighbors growing up. Early early gaming for me. Chucking tomatoes and soda cans at zombies in 2D brings back a smile
Someone let Sony have a go at X-Men or a Wolverine game and knock it out the park the way they did with spider-man. Sure would love to see it!
Can I get some Avowed!? or Fable, or Hellblade2 before I pop an ulcer waiting…
It was same ol’ Xbox if you ask me. More Forza and Halo(which both looked just fine), just missing the Gears talk. Everything else big was either 3rd party, CG cutscenes, or conceptual. Smaller titles like 12 minutes, Somerville, and Replaced built more hype for me than the big stuff, so that’s alittle disappointing.
Still got my fingers crossed for more 1440p60 or 1440p120 support from PS5. Could easily get a lot more performance out of both next-gen consoles if they weren’t using every drop of power to reach 4k. DLSS and VRS should also help enormously going forward later into the generation whenever we it comes.
Phil isn’t impressed that Jim and the Boys are kicking their asses 2-1 again. Lol. I guess Sony needs to ramp up the ass kicking to 3-1 before Phil starts to understand 🤔
Not all PCs use SSDs to design their game. Some systems with exclusives will. Therefore I could easily see true next gen titles that don’t scale to PC exactly like some think it will. Xbox is pinning themselves to the lowest common denominator of PC by making all their games scalable. Have fun with games made to work for HDD this whole generation.
I’d argue a AAA game every few months has been Sony’s playbook for years. Seemed to be what’s worked. This would be a good place to start.
“Paid off”!? I doubt that either of those two games put a dent to what it cost to acquire those teams. Gamepass filler at best. I expect bigger better things out both those teams on their next games though
Xbox gets the FPS boost category for sure, but I’d also argue the back catalog of just PS4 games alone is just so much deeper than what Xbox has, not to mention games further back. Throw in locked or improved frame rates for the amazing pull-away titles Sony had this past gen - Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone, LOU2, GoW. Their games were already top of class at 30fps, now all are looking better than ever running at locked 60. Games plus frames go to Sony for me.
Demon Souls, Returnal, and Ratchet and Clank all sitting close to 9/10s in my book say otherwise. Could they do better to disclose which games are going to which platforms sooner, sure. But the “new” gen is here. Exclusives are present now and more are on the way. Have some faith and patience. At least Sony won’t dry out an entire generation with a empty pantry of meaningful AAA games like the Xbox one did.
CCP can eat a dick. Tencent backed games can kiss my ass too. Long live democracy for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Evidently they don’t need more system sellers out until they have more systems to sell. What we’ve gotten only so far has been amazing though. Demon Souls and Returnal have been whooping my ass for a while now.
Funny thing is they’ll be cross-gen games(which is the big stink right now) and still end up being some of the best games around when they each release
There’s gonna be a lot of GAAS burned with this reboot
Gamepass will ultimately drive a bunch of GAAS games. To anyone who cares about a quality narrative and cinematic thrilling gameplay without all the MTs, I have a feeling there’ll be slimmer pickings the further down this road they go. That’s why they’re rebooting Forza. Instead of individual game releases, just keep updating the same game over and over right? Same with Halo Infinite, never ending from now on, goes on forever with no legitimate weighted story. Just keep swimming. How long bef...
Even for a 2D side scroller it seemed unimpressive. Cuphead, Guacamelee, and Xbox’s new pixelated game Replaced look way better than this. But of course it’ll get a free pass because it’s Nintendo we’re talking here.
