I pay about the same for my fiber in the U.S. 300 Mb/s synchronous speeds and no data cap. I could get 1 Gb/s but for now 300 seems to be more than enough. But will I replace my PC and consoles with a Stadia type device? Not any time soon. Data caps are just the worst. I feel for anyone who has to deal with that.

I suspect some of the reviews being negative also result from Sony first party studios having set such a high bar for themselves. When compared to other Sony first or 2nd part titles, perhaps the game feels formulaic. I still intend to play the game.

Console platform holders take a significant cut from developers too. Upwards of 30% as well. Why isn't Tim Sweeney whining about that? Tim Sweeney's faux virtuous business practices are a joke. EGS will eventually die off if they continue their current business practices and provide no benefit to the consumer.

I think the reviews will be decent. My guess. 8/10. Be awesome if even better. I am also getting the game. I like the game environment and want to support Sony Bend too. They really seemed to have put much effort into making an engaging game. And I'll get to customize my motorcycle... so I got that going for me. ;)

Is it a custom SSD? Hmm so upgrades with off the shelf SDD are not possible? Perhaps it is a standard SDD but uses a custom external cache or controller? I suppose PS5 would rely upon external USB 3.x drives to increase storage capacity when needed.

I was thinking that this also applied to MS XB as well. But if the next Xbox has no optical drive and only supports digital download then MS will be in a heap load of trouble trying to pick up market share from Sony. Perhaps MS views Google as their imminent threat battling for the new younger gamers and casuals? Having the option for all three forms of game delivery/purchase is preferable to me.

I'm half expecting MS to go the opposite way from Sony. I think it's possible MS sees Stadia as a threat and may go all in on game streaming. They'll produce a console with decent high-end specs for local play but I expect they will talk a significant amount on xcloud. They won't beat Sony in any traditional console space. So the aim will be to change the game delivery model. MS's biggest problem is content. That is not something they can easily fix. They're a technolo...

Who is really clicking on and reading this click-bait articles? So obvious what the aim of the article is.

So the acronym for the product is the XBone One SAD ?

So funny, an official expert on zombies. :) How can you be an expert on something which does not exist. I'd surely say Sony Bend are the foremost experts on freakers.

Trust is earned. So at this time, no, EA cannot be trusted.

Where was this problem 2 years ago? Valve has not been killing PC gaming, they provide a robust platform for both sellers and buyers. Valve helped provide stability in the PC marketplace. EIPC seeks to just replace Steam with EGS. Don't kid yourself they are doing this for gamer's best interest. Valve can do better for sure. But EPIC paying to wall off content goes against the open platform of the PC. I'm all for storefronts offering better deals for their suppliers (e.g. publish...

I am not blindly loyal to Steam. I was initially glad to see EPIC enter the market. However, since that announcement, EPIC has really destroyed any goodwill. They seek to limit consumer choice by paying to keep their product off another storefront. I'd no more support Valve doing that. It tells me EPIC can't really compete based on features at this time. Had EPIC provided a good deal for devs and passed on savings to customers it would be fair. But instead, they pay publishers to not...

This is a terribly weak argument that families don't have 4 Playstations. Many don't have multiple consoles at all. If crossplay is so important then people will move off Sony's platform if Sony doesn't adapt. But to date, I think there has been little evidence of that happening. Why do XBoxers want to play with Sony customers so badly? This is just a straw man argument to try to foment negative PR for Sony. It's not working.

I played BotW on Switch. It was so nice to be able to play at home or when sitting in my car waiting for my kids somewhere. Sure made some of those sports practice sessions go by quicker for me.

I play RDR2 because I like the pace of the story. My goal is not solely to finish the game but to experience the game. If it takes me 100 + hours to play, fine by me. I'm in no rush to move on to the next shiny new toy every month. I play when I have time. Some weeks that is more than others. In the end, it works out well for me. There are plenty of other short duration games to play if that suits a person.

Also no buy for me on PC if it's EPIC only. Even if timed. May be a console purchase or wait. Just can't support EPIC.

Certainly a boycott on PC. I may go for console instead.
