Combine the sales with the Augmented Steam addon for Firefox and sometimes you'll find the game a little cheaper, especially helpful if the game hasn't quite hit your strike price but is close. I feel like the sales got more messed up when some developers increased the prices on their games, especially the older ones (I assume this is to cover inflation?).
I think I might pick up Megaton Mushashi and maybe Hogwarts Legacy (I would have liked to see Hogwarts $5 cheap...
It looks more stylish than a Persona game, and I love Persona!
Most companies will happily overwork, burnout, then replace employees, I've seen this happen in a few companies and even work in a place that does this. The turnover is so high, and it looks like madness to the long term staff (especially when you're constantly training newbies and failing to reach goals).
As someone who still regularly uses headphones, I'm still salty that Apple started the trend of forgoing the headphone jack, now I have to carry around an extra cable to account for that.
Sales on Nintendo games kinda suck though (digitally), at least physicals somewhat save us from the high prices since they'res more places competing to sell copies of Nintendo games. I probably have just as many physicals on Nintendo as I do digital games.
They won't, some PC games are the same price as the day they came out, even a decade or more later, or in some cases, they increase in price to account for inflation. I should have bought vanilla Cyberpunk when it was $30, only just got Plague Tale Requiem now that it finally hit $30 again. This is why I wishlist everything and wait for big sales, I'm not paying full price for a game that came out 5, 10, or more years ago.
I understand there are server costs, IP cos...
Hopefully not, I've already moved to mostly PC, but if Playstation doesn't have a physical option, then that's probably the final nail in the coffin for me. I already deal with this on PC, but I didn't want it to happen to consoles for a few more generations, at least, if that's possible.
I hope it's not that early, it feels like the PS5 hasn't even gotten started yet.
Streamers, any game that has a potential to be a big hit with streamers will probably become popular, it doesn't necessarily mean it'll be an amazing game.
I wasn't really impressed with the second game, hopefully the third one is better.
I've honestly been more excited by what Nintendo is doing lately, compared to the other two.
Even in Minecraft, the lighting between RTX on/off is astonishing, and it doesn't even use a realistic art style.
I can only imagine the difference when hardware catches up in, say, 10 or 15 years when we have the hardware to run these life-like worlds.
Ray Tracing makes a big difference, it's just a question of having enough processing power to actually do it, so most developers are selectively choosing to use it on certain things. I would love to see Ray Tracing using a lot more, for more things, especially if it makes it easier for developers and shortens development times, unfortunately, it'll be a long time before we see that happen.
Wow, they're really pushing the Mario RPGs out, not that I'm complaining, I actually like Mario as an RPG when it happens.
I'm definitely buying this, and they announced HD-2D remakes of 1 and 2 as a combo pack? Maybe if it sells well, we can get the other games too.
A Link to the Past remake would be fantastic too, After Link's Awakening, I constantly expect it to happen at some point.
I honestly don't think it's happening, I would not be surprised if it was quietly canceled.
Playstation has followed Xbox's lead enough as it is, I don't want them to become more like them.
I can't really understand people rushing out to buy a console at release, I'll wait a year, two years, etc... until I can walk into a store and buy one if I have to, I'm not paying scalper prices.
