I feel like that's on the lower end, 16GB at least should be cheap enough to implement, plus that RAM gets shared with other things like the OS (which probably doesn't take that much RAM to run anyway). I don't know how RAM intensive DLSS is, but I can't imagine there isn't a resource cost to using it.
April would be earlier than I expected, Nintendo already made it clear that they won't reveal the new console this year, and I doubt they'll shadow drop the console on us, gotta hype up the product first.
I wouldn't even consider EGS, but knowing Square-Enix, they'll start off as EGS exclusive.
Exclusives can still make big money, it's just that Square-Enix has been a hot mess for a long time. I don't think they fully understand what they're doing these days, they're constantly flip-flopping on their strategies over the years and making bad decisions.
I might get it on PC when it eventually gets a discount, I feel like this game is going to be a mixed bag for me, even my friends with PS5s didn't buy this game for some reason (one of which is a FF fan).
I personally don't care, but it's not going to sell well on Xbox anyway, history has proven this to be true.
@gold_drake,
I'm not a fan of the endless scroll feature, it reminds me too much of social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. I can easily see how someone would accidentally post on the wrong article.
I actually didn't play a lot of the games on this list, apart from MDK and One.
I honestly don't care for multiplayer games on Playstation, not really the reason I buy their consoles, but I really do miss the PS1/PS2 days, we certainly had more variety back then.
I honestly can't see how this game could possibly succeed, there's very little upside.
@Tacoboto,
They could just let the developer have free-reign within reason, HiFi Rush was supposedly in production before Microsoft bought them. But I get the feeling that Microsoft might like to meddle too much with their studios, which may or may not be true.
While I think Call of Duty has been pretty meh in the last few iterations (I'm pretty sure Black Ops 3 was the last COD I purchased), Concord was just... Not good gameplay-wise, plus, the ESG/DEI injection certainly didn't help, it's really out of step with other games of it's type.
For me, fighting games lost all their magic after the PS2 generation, anything from there prior had a good selection of characters, and plenty of costumes to choose from (I love Dead or Alive 2 and Soulcalibur II). Sometime after that, we got multiple editions of the same games, nickle and dimmed for costumes and fighters, bare-bone character rosters... Personally, one of the more recent fighting games I'm pretty pleased with is Guilty Gear Strive, I feel like it's not as bad with the...
They barely even owned Tango Gameworks for 3 years as I understand it, why even buy it in the first place?
They also said they were integrating the studio as well, you would think they would have grabbed all the IPs too, but the article doesn't make it clear apart from High Fi Rush.
That would explain the latest round of staff firing, what is going on with Bungie?
This, no one is listening to the majority of games journalists, especially after GG 2.
Nah, it's dead in the water, I can't see how that game can succeed without major changes to the gameplay, and even then, those terrible/forgettable character designs are going to hold them back.
I'm predicting a flop at best.
@Walalon,
I'm going to be p*ssed if the Switch 2 doesn't have BC with the first, I've built a nice little collection of Switch games that I have yet to finish, both physical and digital.
Nintendo and their crappy pricing scheme at it again.
