@Big_Game_Hunters,
You must be in denial, Sony has had a stellar year, Nintendo is pretty great, they had a strong start this year with the Switch and I plan to buy one at some point for the exclusives. But your kidding yourself if you think Nintendo out performed them in quantity and quality this year (although it was a champion effort, most consoles don't a first year this good). The only console that did poorly this year is Xbox.
Is everyone forgetting that the Switch just got out the gate?
Hey, Nintendo is doing well, but it's pretty much Sony's year this year, Nintendo is only just getting started and Sony has been hammering out those titles like crazy.
@ziggurcat
It already exists...
You know you have a wishlist right? I haven't even bought half the games on my wishlist as it stands, although the tag idea is pretty great, I would like that.
Ardyn was the most interesting character and they never did anything with him, they even shot down the possibility of him getting his own DLC. He could have been a really great villain with some more foreshadowing and fleshing out over the course of the game. Instead he just hangs around for most of the game until you kinda get an info dump towards the end.
At this point, it feels like they're forever trying to fix the game or just shove anything and everything into it. I just really want a new Final Fantasy game, FFXV over stayed it's welcome.
I'm really looking forward to this, so I hope they have a few surprises for us.
Just saying, but this month, I'm getting Mary Skelter for it.
I'm more upset that Sony just abandon the Vita so early into it's life.
At this point I'd be happy with Asia English releases since the Vita gets some worthwhile support in Japan but we don't even get that.
In regards to the WiiU, it just goes to show how quickly people forget history and how it tends to repeat itself.
Personally I'm okay with the Switch taking both the Console and Handheld market for Nintendo, the 3DS is pretty old by this point and I was expecting a successor at some point to retire it. And as you pointed out somewhere else in this thread, it is getting games that would traditional end up on 3ds (Pokemon).
I'm actually wondering how he came to the conclusion that they don't have a presence, they sell most of their consoles and handhelds like hot cakes. Even here, almost everyone had a Wii and lots own 3DSs.
Don't know why people are disagreeing, I'm being cautiously optimistic too at the moment. I don't want to invest in it and have it end up like the WiiU, although I strongly doubt it will at this point.
@Woolly_
I think the biggest obstacle to it taking off on PC is that it's too easy, the mouse and keyboard just makes it too easy compared to console.
Even though I've mostly heard good things about Destiny 2, I'm still going to wait (that and I'd rather wait for the PC version over the others). I'm still getting Wolfenstein and probably Evil Within though.
Can you play this game in English on your phone? I really want to play it on Android over the other platforms.
True, but I still have a longing for those types of games since more modern games try to stray from that style more often then not.
I wish they had gone for a more Tekken or DOA or Soul Calibur fighting system, this looks more like a poor man's FF Dissidia from what little I've seen.
How are people even making statements like this? Were Nintendo fans always this bad? Because I don't remember them being this bad.
