I had yellow, good times were had.
@Michellelynn0976,
True, I'm pretty sure Capcom intended this to rope new players into the series, hence why Nintendo Consoles/Handhelds aren't getting it because those games tend to have more depth (not that World lacks it, but it doesn't have as much as the previous games). I still see people on online communities like Facebook who just don't get MHW and I honestly don't see why.
It's pretty much the gateway game into the series, it eliminates alot of the fluff from the games that hardcore players are used to and simplifies it for new players.
@badz149,
It's an ok service, I prefer GoG, that and Steam doesn't deal in AUD, so I have to wait for sales, otherwise the games are just cheaper everywhere else. Plus there's DRM and you need a constant internet connection (I know there's an offline mode but it just doesn't seem to work for me). All in all, I prefer GoG's service but they just don't have Steam's catalogue so it's not really a viable. Another thing I hate is that Steam is...
It is a good deal, but I think it needs more games, especially AAA titles in the Xone list to make it an attractive option for most people.
I predict it won't sell that well despite many Xbox owners touting it as if it will be a AAA title that will sells gangbusters, it'll be sell ok and then have a small dedicated online community 6 months later.
When I look at the discounts I can get from PSplus/PSsales/GoG/Steam, it makes Xbox Pass unattractive to me considering I'm not paying that much more to own said games.
I'm more interested in seeing the Switch overtake Xbox and then seeing how close it comes to catching the PS4 myself, but I also want to purchase a switch myself.
To be fair, Netflix didn't have many good competitors and they need to cover their own costs, so I think the price hike was fair when it still beats having paytv.
Gamepass just needs lots more Xone titles in the catalogue to make it valuable for people ok with renting, personally I think most games are already great value when they're on sale.
It's an ok idea, better than PSNow but not something I would personally wouldn't purchase either option.
I don't think any of this glen's controllers are bad, it's just down to personal preference.
Lack of competition breeds mediocrity.
You'd be lucky to own a business with no competition, those who do tend to be first to the market with an original idea and have enough time to do it well before someone else can get off the ground (Amazon, steam, ect..).
@wooly_,
Never in my life have I seen a time when having no competition was a good thing for consumers. That that comment sounds like you intended for this article to reinforce your agenda.
I honestly cannot find a reason to use PSNow unless you have a great internet connection, and even then, the other drawbacks are still a turn off.
@Death,
I wouldn't say that they're doing terrible nor would I say they're doing great, but I know alot of people who would have bought Xboxes buy ps4s instead. And it's at the fault of Microsoft's bad decisions this gen. The initial reveal and the lack of exclusives, the fact everyone wants to play with their friends so they get a ps4. I cannot say in good faith that Microsoft didn't lose a lot of it's consumers or lost software sales they could...
As much as I love the premium feeling of pc gaming, I do hate that it's version often gets shafted in favour of the console versions, or developers get lazy and just leave the issues be.
Who actually bought a WIIU?
@EddieNX,
What are you? 12?
Nintendo makes some great games, but they don't innovate as much when it comes to first party games. I could understand you belittling Microsoft's line-up this gen but you must be joking about Sony when they smashed it out the park this gen.
When you consider infrastructure, licensing fees and whatever overheads they probably have, it's still pretty damn cheap.
$14 for a standard Netflix plan vs $26 for standard Paytv without most of the sports/kids/movies/documentary channels that adds another fee on top of your monthly plan. Netflix is pretty damn good value when it's standard subscription is almost half Paytv's standard subscription, and I still think Netflix gives you more.
