G-sync is the superior technology but free sync is cheaper to integrate, nvidia are just being dicks for not supporting it. I think the struggle between the two will continue for a couple more years.
It'll cost crap tons, a panel that big with hdr and a high refresh rate? G-sync too? Nope, that's going to be over $2000 here. I predict 3000, then a little on top for attaching "gamer" to the title.
Not by a long shot, 4k 60fps at least.
Full game would be best, episodic games barely wet my taste before it ends.
They definitely should wait, 2020/2021 would be a good year to aim for for the sake of price/performance ratio. That and we're having one of the best gens in a long time, I want enough time to enjoy it.
I'm pretty confident we will get better CPUs, AMD look to be on top of their game in the CPU space once again. And they'll most likely make cpus/apus for next gen consoles.
I strongly doubt the baseline consoles will have native 4k, it'll be too cost prohibitive, I don't think the cost and performance will trickle down quickly enough by the time Sony and Microsoft are ready for next gen consoles
It'll most likely be 16, it's hard to use most of that ram on a high end pc, even with the higher resolution textures, I think they'll have a fairly safe amount left over when games do start using even more ram.
Nah, I think only higher end pcs will be native 4k at a comfortable frame rate. We'll most likely see something between hd and 4k which is then upscaled to 4k. I suspect that prices will be too high for the baseline versions of each console, hence, we'll probably have "pro" versions again. We'll defiantly have 16gbs of ram though, I expect the prices for it to be more reasonable but that's just speculation on my part. And they'll definitely use a better CPU sinc...
They should have invested earlier, anything they announce or start on now won't see th light of day for a few years unless it's a budget tittle.
There are some games I always go back to, lately I've been trying to focus only on games I haven't finished just so I can get through the backlog.
I'm surprised the game turned out as well as it did, but it has a shocking lack of content and alot of scandals and shady dealings. I'm glad I waited so long before making a purchase decision.
Why the hell does AC Origins have such a big difference, I would have expected PUBG to have a big difference before/after the patch considering their optimization.
I pretty much agree, I could see a 2020/2021 release.
The Pro does 1440p and upscales to 4k, Xonex would do similar except its base resolution is higher before the upscale.
I still think they got the price/performance ratio wrong, it's not quite powerful enough for uncompromised 4k anyway.
I would love to go to an arcade, but there's hardly any in my country.
I hope it sells that well, but I think it's a bit more niche than that and some people don't really seem to get it (if you've ever viewed facebook comments on the beta). Having said that, I'm definitely buying it.
Would you mind sharing your opinion on the gameplay? I get the feeling this is where the game falls down, from what I've seen on Youtube it doesn't have much depth.
G-sync has extra hardware added as well while free sync can be done with the current hdmi specifications. Personally I'm hedging my bets on free sync winning out over G-sync because it's cheaper and slowly catching up to the performance of G-sync.
