"Everyone I know still waiting for the master chief collection to pick up an Xbox One. November will be the true test. I predict total domination by Xbox One just because of Halo."
that's around the same time LBP3, PlayStation Now, and PlayStation TV launch. not saying Halo won't sell, but i think you may be putting all your eggs in one basket

“Are the capabilities of the DualShock 4 being ignored or underutilized for multi-platform games?”
Hell YES!
DS4's capabilities far exceeds the XB1 controller on a scale so great it's embarrassing. yet, i see very few developers actually taking advantage of them.
it still does, no one just haven't put it to use yet since not enough people have it yet, which most large developers find very risky if the peripheral isn't standard.
anyhow...
it's a stereo camera. which, in other words, allows the camera to see both you and the environment around you in 3D. unlike Kinect, which uses a single camera and infrared dots scattered out into a room to map the environment and yourself in it, the PS4's stereo camera...
how about voice commands for the PlayStation Camera and headset?

shows just how much you actually know about that conference.
PlayStation Now: in a nutshell, is basically every single PlayStation game to date on an online capable device (smart tv + DualShock 4 $60) since you are streaming games from the cl...
@ NYC_Gamer
what is VR
what is PlayStation TV
what is PlayStation Now
BIG difference there, buddy. they are showing the future of GAMING, not some boring TV app

"I don't see what extra feature it has over previous systems"
the PS4 has a gyroscope. this can easily be put in place as an [aim assist] when staring up the barrel of a rifle rather than a clumsy analogue stick. ...and that is just one way of using it.
the T-pad (((ALONE))) has 15+ different inputs that can all coexist at the same time. this basically gives you a SECOND DualShock controller to work with. RTS i...
@ AngelicIceDiamond
um yeah... the PS3 didn't have a gyroscope or a T-pad. already, these two features allows for a whole new way to play. this alone makes the PS4 more than just a powerful PS3. stop putting the X1 in the PS4's just because MS decided to remove most of the X1's features.
Microsoft's main advantage is in North America. noticed that everything Sony has done since the PS4 launched, or rather the entire architecture of the system, has been aimed at Microsoft's fan base.

oh wow... Sony going for MS's jugular?
motion control gaming cannot die just because VR is on the horizon. it can only make the VR experience better. this is what i think is so special about the WiiU tablet and Wiimote or the PlayStation Move and Dual Shock 4; these devices can track motion very accurately while also allowing you to do more with your hands.
oh yeah, I am just so eager to see little timmy in he tighty whities.
give me a break! how does this revolution anything? we could already do this junk. the only real difference is it wasn't skype and it had to be coded into the game.
I find this article rather insulting and tasteless to this industry. this is far from a game changer or what gaming should revolve around. if this is the pinnacle/revolution of gaming, then gaming is in big trouble. so ins...
stupid article...
that's the same as bundling a dualshock with one console and omitting it from another. the point is, the dang thing isn't STANDARD anymore.
to invest so much into an idea just to turn around and abandon it probably wasn't worth the investment to begin with. i say that because both Sony and Nintendo have STANDARDS that will progress, next generation controllers and EVERY GAME. Microsoft, on the other hand, basically have the sam...
either u never had a PS3 or u pulled that out of your rectum. I had a launch version, and that thing didn't even allow you to pull up the XMB to text chat while ingame. Now it goes far beyond that and so much more.
@ Axios2
u r so butt hurt. lol! first off, your precious box is being outsold in it's own dang territory, and not even TF could save it. secondly, is sony suppose to apologize because, by they being a hardware company, they were able to supply the market faster than MS? give me a break! I bet when MS launched that entire year ahead of them with the 360, you weren't complaining about "countries" then, were you? And even after all of that, Sony STILL caught th...

If you're gonna troll, get your facts straight first. FYI, the PS4 Camera CAN see in the dark. It was never portrayed in the video, however. If you look at the spec sheet, the camera uses something called "Dual Lenses, F value/F2.0 fixed focus" http://www.thehdroom.com/im...
In case you are having trouble with that, which I'm sure you are, F2.0 basica...
Butt hurt much?
Sony has been doing voice recognition since the PS2. It started with Lifeline, then Sing Star. So what makes you think it wasn't going to eventually hit the system at some point - especially when they spoke of the software releasing across the SDK?

the author is a moron who's obviously butt hurt.
even with the XB1 copying a few of the PlayStation 4's software features, the console clearly holds a hardware advantage over the system both in the controller and the actual unit. beyond this and the that hill gets steeper for the XB1system.
