Xbox answered the question "why do I have a ps5" because half the games shown were multiplatform games I'll enjoy playing on my ps5. That's not even considering the fact that showcase literally cost Microsoft 80 billion dollars and from what we have been hearing a good chunk of their exclusive titles will likely be on ps5 aswell.
Literally over half the games are multiplatform titles. A quarter or so if which Microsoft will have had to basically pay the development costs for to get day 1 on games pass. People don't even need to buy a pc to play most of the games shown.

They did not call the state of play a showcase and even announced it the day before and stated it was primarily to show first party titles due in the next few months and indie titles due in near future.
Sony's state of play's are NOT showcases. That state of play was primarily to show first party titles due this year and some indie titles due this year and early next year. They will clearly have a showcase to push the ps5 pro later this year likely in September.
I hope so but I wouldn't call the hitman games gunplay that exceptional infact combat is something they would need to massively improve for a bond game.
True but it's still dead in the water. Rumours are Sony is planning a similar device capable of playing all PS4 titles and PS5 titles and maybe even lower fidelity ps6 titles. Given Sonya first party and the massive libraries many gamers have built up- what are people likely to pick the ps handheld or the Xbox one. Outside of Japan Sony own th console market. Such a device will allow them to take on Nintendo in Japan and Asia too where handheld's are much more popular.

Thing Is you are all missing the unspoken aspect of this. Any pc players enticed to get a ps5 to play exclusives rather than wait is a bonus for Sony. But more importantly, they make most of their money on the cut they take of 3rd party content sold on their platform abit like steam does on pc. This is more about not giving ps5 players a reason to just buy a pc. Xbox went day and date the next generation of consoles and they have lost half their console sales but retain activity online profil...
