@ kury, I've been saying the same thing for awhile here. Yet I keep seeing "kz2 is going to set bar in graphics". It's been set in the cryengine2 for awhile now. As far as the graphics ship goes. That ship has sailed years ago in the pc market. Game Devs are looking at physics in their next gen games.

It doesn't cost anything to publish on PC. If Sony wanted to make a ps3 exclusive and port it to PC they wouldn't have to go through M$ to do it. Unless they wanted to slap a Games For Windows logo on it.
Theres nothing bad about Vista once you spend 20 minutes disabling some services. Yes I know the mainstream general consumer won't know how to do this.
However I had a friend recently ask me if he should switch to vista. He knew I had made the jump and was liking it. I told him to get 4gb of ram first before he made the jump. I personally would not recommend it for 2gb systems even though they could probably handle it without any resource issues.

From what I've read 7 is a heavily optimized Vista. Which is a good thing on Microsofts part. Their smart in distancing themselves from the Vista name. They know theres nothing they can do to clean the dirt from Vista's name.

I think he might be referring to the security center popups that show the little balloon popup in the icon tray after awhile. The method of disabling that is different than xp's where disabling it in services would fix it.
In vista you have to have the security center services started. Open and hit "change the way security center notifies me" change it to disable notifications (or something along those lines). THEN your good to disable the service.
agreed. Vista isn't crippled. It's just incapable of running like xp on the older machines that have less than 2gb ram. I've installed it on my wifes pc where I recently slapped in 4gb ram. After Disabling a few features (UAC,Security Center) It actually feels more solid than my own xp.

That's fine for you viper. I won't bash for not using vista. For your uses you could use osx or a linux os and be happy with it. I personally have owned vista for a year but still use xp. However for some reason, I'm looking forward to windows 7. Very much more than I did vista. I've seen the benchmarks and tests where pre-build 7 is pushing less resources the vista. just google windows 7 benchmarks to know what I mean.

In some form of ps3 defense however, The term "Flop" is being thrown around loosely these days, and is rather harsh especially if a game has already paid for its production costs (not sure if LBP has done this tbh) A better term or phrase for LBP would be "not living up to the hype" or a disappointment...
