Its not that DX10 did bad. It's just that it failed to set the standard like everyone thought it would. As far as performance goes it's still runs just as well as dx9. This only goes to show how refined dx9 is.

Because NA is the reason why the ps3 is in last place. Many people like to point this out actually. That the EU and JP territories see more ps3 sales. Not only point it out but proudly thump their chest about it.

I've never seen these commercials. Mostly because I don't watch much television. They are very well done.
naysayers will only shutup if KZ2 achieves Halo 3 success. 2 million won't mean a damn thing. Especially the time and money put into this game. Not to mention what looks to be a very hefty advertising campaign ($3 mil for the super bowl ad alone). who knows how many million it's going to take to break even with this one.
One thing is for certain however. It's going to have to sell like Halo to not be considered another LBP or R2.

That's kind of funny as the Source engine is cpu heavy. Meaning the more powerful the cpu the more fps you will get. Only at 8xAA 16Xaf or insane resolutions does the source engine start taxing heavy gpu loads.
But its the cell right? It should have performed just as well as its pc counterparts. The Cell while a modern marvel for its time, is just not worth the time to port for. That's why we are seeing lots of 360/PC games only.
I wonder if they've been reading/watching the news where just about everyone is predicting the economy will get worse before it gets any better.

OF COURSE ps3 will outsell 360. Didn't Sony just recently come out and say they are still the leaders of the gaming industry.

we won't see much improvement in graphics until Ray Tracing and physics become the de facto standard in pc games. As it stands Crysis will be the only game worth upgrading for until then.
