Times are rough now. Sony better wise up, no college kid makin it on his own w/o mom and dads help is gonna shell out the cash to buy a ps3. The middle class moms and dads that get by but have a decent house is gonna wanna shell out the cash for a ps3 in these times.

When a game does that and is being covered by the media big boys CNN, BBC etc. because of said sales records. No matter what your personal opinion is, when ANY game accomplishes this REGARDLESS of what you think of it. It's GOTY.

I'm going to agree fallout 3 is the first game I've played for hours on end for A LONG time. I like how Fable 2 failed to beat out fallout 3 in its own category yet still won GOTY...It's funny that the fanboys from both sides are agreeing that Fable 2 should NOT have won in the source page's comment section.

Even though It'll probably be released on pc later on so I could try it. I don't own a 360 or ps3. Xplay being on pc gamers shi*-list for years now have managed to reaffirm why I stopped watching that show. Though they do get a kewl point for giving "Sins of A Solar Empire" strategy goty. It's an awesome game.
The people that read these articles are tech gamers. Usually the type you read about that drop 2-4k on setups, and the gamers that gave pc gaming a bad rep in terms of $$$ spent compared to consoles.
I like how they tried to build up dx10 though. pretty sad it looks the freakin same. I guess if I dropped money on vista and a high end dx10 card (I do own a dx10 card, hd3870 and vista I just prefer xp), I'd also try my best to justify my purchase without feeling buyers remorse.
There's nothing wrong with checking out girls asses pixelated, on paper, or sitting on an outside bar in vegas at the new york new york. Graphic designers spent a lot of time making sure these asses look very fine for the young guys or girls, who may not be able to just "Go out and get laid." because of looks, self-confidence, insecurities.

They damn well better be ONLY at 60% looking at the kz2 screenshots they're gonna need all the power they can get...No offense but after playing games like crysis ultra high in dx10, fallout 3 AAx8 every detail maxed, hell even cod4 maxed out looks just as good...as you can see I'm a pc gamer. to me graphics doesn't make a game left 4 dead, 1.6, and cod4 are the only games I play. However if we're gonna talk eye candy, look around the pc community, these graphics aren't saying much.

And? That only goes to show how ahead of their times the half life and source engines are. To be able to still use the source engine and compete with this years games is an accomplishment in itself. They deserve a medal for releasing l4d (source engine) and have it compete with GoW2, WoTLK, CodWaW, Far Cry 2 (crappy game but looks pretty), Fallout 3 and put up the numbers it did, NOT including steam sales.
