if one of those 10 weeks includes black friday then those numbers are horribly horribly wrong.
Taking that into accout that makes your numbers nothing more but PURE speculation.
It sounds like your from EU so you get a pass for not knowing what Black Friday can do for a company in ONE DAY alone.
microsoft ownz teh internetz amirite?
?? so what? I get an average of about 5 disagrees for each comment. Why do you care so much that 1 person disagrees with you?
so cutting prices is M$ like tactics...
/facepalm
"An imagine what the sales will look like when Sony drops the price."
except that this isn't "imagine news for gamers.com"
wasn't that "Game for everyone" title meant for LBP? Shooters aren't for everyone.
Indeed, This game helps the cause. I currently almost have enough put aside for a ps3 yet I'm still on the fence. I eat and breathe shooter games. The only reason to buy a ps3 would be for kz2. I'm gonna wait and try it out before I make my decision because buying a console for one game is a tough decision.
You can try and make an argument for R2 but I just look at it and feel like I've played it already. With kz2's hype I'm almost expecting it to be the CS of consoles. you know...
The reason your seeing it scored this way is probably because official testers are still under an NDA agreement. Real scores would get them into trouble. Until NDA is lifted this is probably the best way to go about doin it.
Your probably bashing the 360 version of L4d but l4d is a pc game. so in that defense
http://www.l4dmods.com/ says hi
thats exactly why I havn't purchased a ps3 yet. being a FPS gamer the ps3 offers nothing atm to warrant such a purchase. You can bet however I'll be testing Killzone II to see if it has the potential to hold its own for years to come. In other words, looking to see if it'll be the counterstrike for the ps3. You can usually tell within a day or two if its got lasting appeal.
so your counter-argument is "my inner-child" died...
wow...
you can go on about a "fan service" all you want. At the end of the day Kojima has people working for him that depend on him to pay their bills and feed their families. Now tell me, would Kojima put a "fan service" first before that?
Like I said, MGS had to be first and foremost, profitable before he'd even consider making a 3 and 4.
Oh wow a simple comment made by prime and you can feel these guys raging from their pc.
the fanboy war can be entertaining at times.
"360 keeps loosing ground. That's why they got the price cut, That's why they giving pink slips to 17 percent of there workers"
come again? Did you read your own comment?
Read your OWN comment again and then read what I wrote above
To compare. Crysis sold over 1 million and was considered a flop. Nobody denied it. Yes the game which is crowned with having the best graphics to ever grace ANY gaming platform is considered a flop. Goes to show graphics aren't everything. Nowadays Crysis is just a glorified 3d benchmark tool. Nothing more.
But like I said a games a flop only when it has not paid for itself production and ad wise. Nobody will know how much money was poured into LBP. But I imagine in time (proba...
Oh right because if mgs 2 flopped hard I'm so sure he still would have made 3 and 4 to "please the fans". Get real dude. Regardless of what he said, profit was still the #1 reason to develop his game. They saw mgs as a franchise that was still profitable and ran with it.
fan service....I lol'd. Any developer can say what he wants. Their allowed to. But its money that will always make the decisions in business
"There isn't a giant, worldwide inventory database out there we can reference" This is exactly why the console fanboy debates are pointless.
imo bladestar brought up a legit point.
If the install base for the ps3 is just as high as the 360. In some cases some people are saying ps3 sold more. I can care less which is true however. The point is the claims are ps3 install base is high. Then why are games like LBP and Resistance 2 not selling like the 360 exc...
@champ looks like the sarcasm just whooooosed by someones head =\.
The "Vista Ready" sticker was actually pretty marketable until not too long ago. This sticker made them 1.5b and almost all hardware manufacturers used it until recently. I remember seeing this sticker on the top quality hardware brands like OCZ, Gskill, Corsair, Seagate, Viewsonic. These past few months though their products no longer advertise "Vista Ready"
Your right in that Vista is no longer marketable and M$ is longer trying to save it. When they saw th...
That probably had to have been a really unfortunate experience to have to put up with vista with 1gb of ram. While M$ probably did pull in a profit they lost more of their OS marketshare to Apple.
Now first off don't go around thinking Apple and M$ are going toe to toe when it comes to marketshare. Not to long ago I believe M$ still had around low 90% of the OS market.
It's just that Apple is slowly chipping this number away. While I agree with fishy fingers that V...
So your numbers are based on the EU market only? You do realize a bigger market (US) exists right?
also 10 weeks plus missing plus december. That's like 3 1/2 months dude...you know, over a quarter of a year...I'd believe numbers that come from ANY companies mouth then someone on the internet who claims to have the "real data" yet is missing over a quarter of the years sales numbers.
