Agreed. I'd like to see how many tries it'll take the people saying how bad this final fight is.
It doesn't look like an exceptionally long boss fight there, but damn...there's no way I'll beat that on my first play through. Add on additional time for all of the attempts where you're likely going to die before you beat it.
Man, still no reviews. This is the only one I've seen so far:

(And that looks more like a reader review site.)
Seriously. Zelda is supposed to be the innovator, not the copycat.
Adding a few stealth missions, copying FF magic and sprinkling in more NPC interactions aren't going to really do much except make Zelda into a copier.
Motion Plus will be integral to the next game; that much we know. A game focused more on dueling will alone be a bigger change than any of the stuff listed in the article.
What I'd love to see are a few RTS-esque things with M+; instead of the ...
...so, where are the reviews?
The graphics are decent. Considering the source material, it looks very respectable on the hardware that it's running on.
What looks even better to me are the controls. It's an admittedly lower-res version of COD4, but if you add in Conduit-esque customizable IR/pointer controls, you end up with the best-controlling console version of the game. That's an achievement. Good job, Treyarch.
I never mentioned L4D, NaiNaiNai.
But it's pretty simple -- a developer/publisher will charge what they think a game is worth on the market.
Activision put a year's worth of work with about a 30-person team into porting COD4, and they're putting out a game that will most likely be the best of its kind on Wii. They've been charging $50 for a 2-year old version of this game already (while a superior version is available for cheaper if you've got a good PC), one that o...
Sure you can. They're doing it, after all. No need to be insulting about this, either.
After all, you can't make the graphics BETTER for Wii. It's impossible. That's like complaining about putting a game on a console while charging full price, even though there's a graphically superior version available for high-end PCs.
And btw, through today, Activision has actually been charging more for the inferior console versions compared to the PC version.
The control scheme looks dead-on (despite some iffy play -- the sniper rifle for close combat?). That's the most important thing.
Some of the textures look fantastic. Some don't. But until we get some good quality screen caps or are actually playing the game, we won't know for sure just how good it looks. That said, it's not like COD4 was every the absolute prettiest FPS out there.
I don't know if it quite makes the "360 launch title" look (good smoke e...
They're still charging $50 for the older version:

The GOTY version has what, 4 extra maps?
Considering what the older version is selling for, plus the year Treyarch had to put into porting the game, it mak...
Activision was surprised at how well W@W sold on Wii; that's the reason they gave for the COD4 port.
Hopefully if this one sells, they'll port over MW2 next year.
I'm just happy to see it make it to Wii with fully customizable controls. It can't compete graphically with the HD consoles (although Treyarch did an admirable job), but this could end up being the best-controlling console version of the game.
Seriously. That was painful to watch. Not because of the graphics, which actually look very nice (great job, Treyarch). But that looked like someone who had never played FPS before.
Gee, the game has only been pirated and played for a few days by the hacking community, so this is a surprise...how?
hatchimatchi -- I can understand the frustration for being left handed with the remote/nunchuck. If it's uncomfortable for that reason, I get what you mean.
But other than that...yeah, I have to say it's superior to dual analog for FPS. In the same way that a mouse/keyboard is superior for FPS. Thumbstick and sticky/auto assist aiming is just not as precise (especially if you turn the assists off) as pointing directly where you want to shoot.
I see some people lit...
kaveti6616 -- I think I remember reading that the game was 30 fps, but I could be wrong. The run speed sure is faster than Conduit, and it still aims very smooth. 60 or 30, it's pretty good.
PM friend codes?
This has honestly gone to a first-day purchase for me. I was SUPER disappointed at some of the other vids. They looked blurry, and the controls looked super twitchy.
Not in these. This looks like a very nice (though admittedly lower-res) COD4 with Conduit's controls implemented. And that's a DAMN good thing.
If this sells as well as W@W on Wii, we'll probably get a port of MW2 next year. But for now, this looks like Wii's definitive...
It looks a lot more action-packed than Conduit. And I say that as someone who really liked Conduit.
I look at this game the way I looked at RE4. Sure, I had already played it. But I hadn't played it with a superior control scheme.
[Of course, anyone with a mouse/keyboard has already played the best possible controls with this game. But I haven't played it on a PC. And IR/pointer controls beat the living hell out of dual analog.]
Hisiru -- I agree. I already played through the campaign on a 360. This doesn't look as good, and it couldn't. But it looks surprisingly decent (considering some of the other blurry vids that were out a few days ago). And the action is all there. That's what matters.
That, and the controls. Which look to be super solid.
This may end up being the best-controlling console version of COD4. And that's a nice achievement, tbh.
Treyarch, I'm impressed. ...
Seferoth75 -- Activision made this port because W@W sold well. Very well, considering they paid very little attention to marketing the Wii version. If COD4 sells well on Wii, expect a MW2 port sometime next year.
I agree with the rest of your post, though. Graphics don't make a came "hardcore" or not, IMO. That said, Treyarch did a decent enough job on this game. It doesn't look like the HD versions, of course, but it's sorta in between from this gen and the last. ...
Thanks for the rundown. I may go buy this tonight. I was hoping to see at least a few reviews to get specific pros and cons on this game, but reviewers have dropped the ball on this one en masse.
EDIT: Well whaddaya know. One measley review finally turned up.

Mainly graphical complaints. But I was expecting that.
