Interesting...a few months ago when the hackers where trying to hack the PS3 itself people where all about: ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME!NOTHING IS UNHACKABLE....and such...well, Sony did manage to keep the PS3 unhacked, but its network was hacked because of it....theres no network IN THE WHOLE WORLD that CANT be hacked....its just a matter of willingness, time and numbers....Sony could do better? OBVIOUSLY! But in the end when these SOBs want to f*ck the lives of others, then will do everything...

What MS got was a legion of people who will never EVER buy a MS designed console (again or not). The lead it got by launching first died way faster than it ever though it would (and if it wasnt the sales of Kinect on the US, it would problably would be even smaller).
EXACTLY! PC gaming goes with brute force(most of the time...), not an optmized code. If the codeing was better, we wouldnt need uber high specs to run some games that are out there...Im looking at Crysys 1, COD:BO and such...examples of stupid, poor code optimization. Thats what Crytec seens to want...space do be lazy...
The architecture of the system will tell what will be what. I do concur tha around 2-4 GB will be the most problable schenario....but then what will be the bus, the bandwidth, the speed of the RAM...will it be XDR? DDR? and so on....

Crytek looks to be trying to say: "Get us enough space to do poor coding and let the hardware do it with brute force..." - WICH IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID WITH THE FIRST CRYSYS...the top hardware of the time counldnt run the damend thing at top...I know...I tried!
Lots of Ram is ALWAYS nice, but a refined code can do wonders...maybe its just me, but Im all about quality over quantity any day.
The casual players (if we can call them that) will be hard pressed to buy a new console from NIntendo. It will really matters what it will be able to do....if it is another Wii Fit and such BS again, they dont really need to buy it.
And the most important thing for Nintendo...the price....they will try to keep it as low as possible, so dont have high hopes for uber advanced tech, just enough to surpass the currently other consoles thi gen...just to be completely blown out of...

Compared to the PS3 both the Wii and the X360 are not future proof...most of his techinnical points were FACTS. What you're calling "keys that were leaked weren't very well hidden" were actually taken from a usb key that was STOLEN from Sony itself and then retro engineered...they did take 4-5 years to actually unlock Sony protection....not well hiden...alright...

RAM is raw power.....the more you have (until certain point...) the easier/faster it is for the CPU....Console software coding is not about raw power like PC...its about refining the code, the betterment the use of what you have...thats why PS3 is still pushing better graphics/physics and so on every game tha come out, the guys are refining the code to its optmal lvls...on the PC the games that are out are using the raw numbers and not a better code...look at Crysis 1...if you didnt have the ...
I think the main reason X360 is ahead of PS3 this gen is the RRoD...complain all you want, but its a fact. Whant to argue? I saw people buying that thing 3-5 times.....not refurbished units...new ones...and so on....
MS improoved greatly this gen, and its OL capabilities is very good (it should be since MS IS a software company...) but Sony did catch up and is arguably better in some aspects.
