Thats MS pushing it to try to gain more ground in a place where historicaly Sony sells more than them easily, because of the PS2....

And thats why its so damn hard to be a gamer in Brazil....the greatest problems are the taxes, the government considers gaming consoles and add ons as 'slots'. Such games and Casinos are illegal here in Brazil and are heavilly persecuted. There are some fools on our parliament taht like to think that video games are nocive to the youth and they keep trying to keep the taxes as high and they can...there are other who are trying to get the taxes to lower (both to consoles and PC parts) ...
While Sony did publish FFVII here on western lands and we all see it as a Sony IP, its SE IP...unfortunatelly...Since this wiont be making any profit, the lawyers will have a tough time to try and get this out of the community, but they may try.
This gaming is shapping up to be something on a level of amazingness so great it will be hard to try to outdo.
The PC limitation is how deep are your pockets....so...theres a limit.

Look, Im a pessimist/realist guy. I do know that GT5 will be 10+ million game. I just not see it reaching those numbers THAT fast. I would like it to be that fast, but I dont really think so.
To me GT5 is a perfect GT game. I love it and been playing as much as I can since I got it. The reviewrs and lots of fanboys on both sides went apeshit on the game because of the flanboyant hype it got, from mostly THEMSELVES!

Hum...half of 42 MILLION units sold worldwide is 15......yeah right...guys.....at least google the actual numbers...last time Sony came out with numbers for the PS3 being sold world wide was around 42 million...its way more now.
I do see GT5 reaching 10+ million units sold, but dont see it being that fast...maybe in 3 years time.

People may consider MK a racer and all, but all I see is a funny game I spent a lot of time when I was a kid, not a racing game. It seens it really depends on the point of view.
Then we have the fact that anything with Mario in Nintendo universe sells because its mainly the only thing that sells for Nintendo these days...

Actually, I have around 3 for the PS2 and 15 for the PSone here that I didnt finish....all of them RPGs....
Back with the PSone I did have lots of games...around 60 actually....and since I was a kid, I had lots of time then...and before anyone asks, my grades were very good ones, from B- to A and such.
With the PS2, I was already working part time + University, so I didnt have that much time...and still manage to play 100+ hours in some of my games...hehehe (...
IF the plan was to make as realistic as possible, it could be a 1 hit disaster. It depends on the speed, where it crashed, in what it crashed, did it roll over how many times? and so on.

PS- I saw some Forza damage videos...if a Veyron hitting another one at 245 mph have a fatal damage as the paint tearing over explosively and some mechanical damage (the freaking cars were still moving, with some difficulty ys, but it was still doable to keep going...) Bigger than GT5 for sure, but it simply doesnt have the LEGS GT games have. Halo is FRONT loaded, once the heat declines, it sells poorly. This thing will be selling till the end of the generation steadily, and so, far surpassing Halo in the end.
Thats how its been for all MAIN GT series games.

To achieve what the 'media' (or the amateuristic fanboys out there) thinks GT5 need to be better, GT6 would have to be NOT a GT series game.

When a site gives a 8 or less complaining about how GT5 MAKES YOU WORK FOR WHAT YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE makes a GT series player to LMAO hard.

GT5 is fun for those who can endure its challenge, take its own skills to the next level and step up to it.. If you're not up to it, then dont even dare to say anything about it, since you wont know how to argument against it.
IF they want arcade games they have to go with those games. They are great games for what they are, but both arent SIMULATORS like GT5 is.

Yep...Im playing it and its awesome. People are going nuts because they want to defend the mediocre racing games out there that have nothing on par with GT5.
Since they gave such games high scores, now they have to give GT5 a lesser one and even go on the interwebz to say 'EVERYONE' is disspointed with it...man...if I didnt know better I would say thats 2006-2007's persecution of Sony and PS3 all over again....hey wait a minute! I opened mine about 2 years ago, cleaned and changed all the thermal grease that was old, oiled the fans and such...I have a purring kitty working perfectly right here!
