Excuse? This wasnt a excuse AT ALL. CoD is a fanboy paradise POS IMO.
UC3 is by far a better game, but besides being a MULTIPLATFORM game, that happens to be a FPS, a shooter, the most player friendly one at that, in the market, why would CoD sell better than UC3, an exclusive, the best NEW IP this gen????

X360 has a bigger install base in US - the main buyers of FPS games all around.
X360 had less HARDCORE games all year around....with UC3 coming out a few days later...

But at what price? While their chosen users will problably quite happy with a price tag that isnt that much, the actual players will see it for what its worth, depending on the specs at the time of release, not that much either. Nintendo can only hope to have that same effect X360 had at launch, being the first of the next gen (being the only option on market) and being reasonably cheap.
THe thing is, will their casuals buy a new console when the Wii and tablet...

If it was the other way around (or if it was another MS exclusive that whould be/being compared to a Sony exclusive in the same category - shooter and so on) you would be saying the SAME thing, and not asking why someone would be starting s*** up. Double standart...again....
Ps- while F4 seens to be a improoved game upon F3, F3 was/is NOWHERE near GT PROLOGUE quality, much LESS GT5.
The fact that the Wii was/is uberlly CHEAP from the get go had nothing with Nintendo being in the first place...at all.......in one of the worst economic recessions since the Crash of 1929....ok then.
SO lets see.....F4 lacks some features that should be important to a SIMULATOR, plays like and arcadeish racing game, and still has some of the same gliches that F3 had....and the scores some reviews are pumping out are supperb....DOUBLE STANDART what?
When some said that the media were nitpicking GT5 to no end no one wanted to believe....now we can see why...GT5 is a FAR better racing game and SIMULATOR than F3 ever was and the media didnt let it show in their reviews and n...
Not gonna happen...this is a case where DOUBLE STANDART is so absurbly blatant, people will want to look to thye other side....and people think that there were no hate when GT5 came out...
If people had actually spend some effort to play the game and this gen wasnt about bashing Sony all around I could agree with you...but GT5 IS a better game all around than Forza 3 and the sites didnt want to say it because it would kill their previous statement with F3...
The meta score is quite an instrument...I can make a POS site and post an revie (yeah right) and trow the basic score down the drain....Forza is geting better alright, but to compare with what GT acomplished trough the years? Its just not right.
And lets not forget that this has been the most hatefull generation ever...EVERYONE and their grans/dogs and such were out to bash Sony and its IPs...GT being the biggest of them all just got the stick at the time.
People need to understand that the Net access around the world ISNT the same all around...The infrastructure needed to make a console a download only item isnt ready...like some people said, in most countries it would be a business suicide...maybe in 10 years time it will have an actual chance of being, but not right now.
Every game SE released first on X360 BOMBED HARD in sales in that platform. SE userbase ISNT on X360, and so it screwed them hard...google it if you must. Heck...I would bet that SE made more money on the DEALs for the timed exclusivity than selling the games thenselves.
At least 3 to 1 in US....problably the same in EU and I dont even want to mention it in Japan.....

Im actually banking on Nomura leaving SE sooner rather than later....there have been rumors about he and his team not being happy with how SE has been managed for a few years now....Versus becoming multi may be what drives them off from SE if it happens....theres a lot of devs out there that would love to *help* such a great development team...and SE would once again let a great asset going aways because they were stupid..it happend a few times before..
Yep...and that fucked XIII alright...the hater may say whatever they want, but XIII-2 is pretty much a DLC to the first game because it couldnt fit on the DVDs.... SE was more intrested in making money than providing a good experience and ended up fucking the whole game for bose userbases.
Thats what happen when mid developmente someone says: from now on its a multiplatform, we will make more money that way! and they had little knowledge of how develop for it, screwd up becau...
And it led to the WORST received FF since, well, forever....untill FFXIV anyway...
SE leting go of their userbase is what screwed FF name this gen...praticaly everyone that is interested in this game and have hopes for it is a PS3 owner. If it goes multi, and it end being another FFXIII screw up (I like the game by the way, just saying what the majority of the fanbase says), Wada is either geting a boot out or SE is going bankrupt this time over....lots of hopes going on thi...
I did around 168 hours by myself.... in ONE of my 3 saved games(ehehehe). I had lots of time to play that baby at the time. Really looking foward this.
PS- I STILL have a launch PS2 with the copy of FFX just nearby....an d like a lot of people here I cant wait to buy the HD remake....

The TECHNOLOGY used in the Wii was out and in development in the late 90's alright...people just like to think it was new back in 2006.
Im one of them too...longest queue = 4k...not that bad it seens (compared with some ofthe guys above)....anayway, seens an interesting game, Im having fun...lets see if somne of this 1kk players are gonna fork the money (Im already thinking about to buy some DLC and such....)
