fact is PS3 already had TWO major price drops, of 100 bucks each in its first year. While the 360 only had ONE price drop of a measly 50 bucks after TWO years.

IMO, they should have dropped the price last year when Sony introduced the $399 model. but to bring a price drop like this with the arcade at $199, is goint to be HUGE.

Cheaper than the Wii.... and Wii still can't be found in stores so that will help.

But keep the price around $149. Now that there is a definitive winner, the add on should sell more.

big differerce between being nominated and actually winning. in 2007 awards for best graphics went to either COD4, Bioshock, or Crysis.

you want FACTS do back to any website or magazine or show (E3) that gave awards for best graphics and you will learn that Uncharted was not even in the top two. It was always Bioshock or COD4

If its true there is a price cut coming to the 360 that will make the arcade cheaper than the Wii, I wonder how sales will be then?

I mean, you compare the Wii to the Arcade 360, with the arcade being cheaper.... maybe its just me, but the Arcade at a $199 price will bring on the MASS MARKET and take away some consumers that were planning on buying a Wii.

IMO although in no way should Halo win for best visual effects, it still was my fav game of 2007. The epic conclusion, four player co-op, and playing online is just in a league of its own. (edging out call of duty because of the co-op)

as of now, Sony pretty much is killing the competition trying to sell stand alone blu-ray players.

the fact that the ps3 is as cheap as the cheapest 2.0 blu-ray player on the market makes it the obvious choice among consumers.

i think everyone here should agree that Crysis has the graphics to date for a game.

so be it, your loyal to 360 or ps3, it should be really interesting to see which console handles/performs Crysis better and at what specs compared to PC.

If 360 handles the game better than PS3, than that will be HUGE as far a braggin rights and among the Xbox community, and vice-versa for ps3.

either way, there are millions of cheap azz ps2 owners waiting to jump into this gen of consoles, with a really cheap arcade version. Thats all they need go online, save games to memory card, and play AAA games including GTA4.

360 has sold over 17 million, yet only 10 million are connected to LIVE. In other words about 7 million dont need a hard drive to go online. So why have a hard drive when it can be sold much cheaper without one to the mass market? games you say? look at the library of next gen games on 360 that didn't need a hard drive.

sorry spike, i guess my comment was aimed at gamers that claim to have both a 360 and a ps3 and still say they will buy the ps3 version, and the other ps3 fans that keep putting the DLC down.

anyways, it was peter moore quoting the developers of GTA4. They are the one when asked which GTA4 version should consumers buy, and they said the complete definitive version can ONLY be found on the 360. Or just go out and buy this months EGM and read for yourself how excited the develope...

And the reason why this is such a big deal is because this was the game that really pushed PS2 sales more than any other game. The 3 games released last gen are in the top 4 best selling games ever for PS2. So to have it being released day 1 on 360 and ps3 but with the DLC for 360 is really hard for alot of these kids to accept.
