maybe that exclusive will come after Max Payne, either way, waiting is something PS3 owners are more than used to by now.
well you got guys like sonarus 1.1 giving some real WEAK excuses why he will choose the ps3 version, but he doesn't say anything about owning a 360.
there have always been many guys on this site claiming to own a 360 and ps3 but say they will still buy the ps3 version. I'd like to hear their weak excuses now too.

i mean, its GTA, its used to be associated with PS2, its PS2 best selling franchise, and it really really helped push ps2 sales.....and now its coming to 360 with the DLC, but yet every little sonyfankid on this site is saying they dont care (with the exception of the few honest ones like FALLFAST)

I agree 100% wheh you say GTA3 is the game that really helped push ps2. There was a time when EVERYONE was talking about GTA3 and wanting to get a PS2 just to play it. People should look back at the best selling games for PS2 and they would see that the 3 GTA games released for PS2 were in the top 4.
I wouldn't go as far as selling the ps3 because of blu-ray, but like you said, you already have a blu-ray player.
I remember getting the Demo on LIVE and showed it to all my friends because at that time, it looked awesome and was fun to play. I ended up buying the game, and actually just got bored with the same stuff, run and shoot, over and over again.
Now bring on the sequal to Dead Rising .... that was definitely a fun, different, and replayable game. (except for the freakin save feauture...Grrrr)

can they release a firmware update on CD? but where will the old DVD players store it to when its uploaded?
but if they can somehow release HD movies, even at 720p, on reg DVD's with all the features found on HD-DVD, and be playable on exsisting DVD players....... that is really going to put another hold on Blu-Ray from adopting mass acceptance.

same with PSN, the article was just out yesterday on N4G saying only HALF of PS3 ...
if this most likely will be the best selling game of 08, doesn't that mean there are MILLIONS of GTA fans?
The DLC is something all gta fans will be interested in. For 50 mil, you can be sure Rockstar is gonna put something that will get people talking and buying.
If MGS4 came out with some new chapters a year later, dont you think there are alot of fans that would want it as DLC?

The 3 GTA games from last gen are in the top 4 best selling games for ps2 games. So you saying everyone (as in MILLIONS) is like you and only like to run around in gta games EVEN though you already admitted you cleared SA?

Sony desperately NEEDS MGS4 to sell, because if Konami doens't recoup its production costs and make a decent profit, you better beleive it will get ported to 360, just as other MGS games have been ported last gen to Xbox and Gamecube. And judging by sales of the last MGS game that came out at about 3 million...
the main reason Sony is giving away its most anticipated title, MGS4, is because it counts as a sale, and Sony better show some decent sales for MGS4 to Konami.....because if they dont, you better beleive Konami is gonna make it in a port to 360 to make up for production costs and make a decent profit
your right Sony shouldn't worry, they got what they wanted by winning the format war. but at the expense that they can not have the control over the gaming industry as far as leadership like in the past two gens.

April EGM had another article on GTA4 with the dev themselves saying how excited they were about the DLC only for 360, and have already gone on record saying if comsumers want to play the definitive complete version of GTA4, then they need a 360.

If they promote it right, the GTA4 and the exclusive DLC with a price drop for the 360. It really is smart planning.
when i saw that first pic, i was amazed, like when I saw Gears for the first time. but then when I look at what appears to be in-game shots, although they look good, they dont compare to the still shots and other shots i see that aren't in-game.
the game looks great, but the in-game shots i see aren't leaps in graphical difference from Forza2/PGR4.
Be looking forward to trying it out soon and see for myself.
