gears 2 will be the game to own this xmas... hopefully they get it out in time.
MS is playing its cards right, because although ps3 has some great exclusives coming out this year, Gears 2 will dominate because it now has that mass appeal and with a movie and toys coming out along with MS mega-dollar marketing campaign, i just dont see any other game that can generate that kind of hype.... except GTA4.
we all know the ps3 is a great deal, and by far the best bang for your buck.
but if your a gamer, just accept the fact that 360 is running multi-plat games better than the ps3.
at this point, the excuses are getting old for why ps3 aren't up to par to the 360.
i bought my 360 at launch knowing sony would release a more powerful console later on that would probably make multiplat games look like crap compared to my 360, same way xbox completely owned ps2 last gen on every multiplat game.
but its great to know 360 not only holds up great, its actually still running games better than ps3.
should be real interesting to see how the port turns out for the ps3/360.
being this is the best graphics to date for a video game there are major braggin rights there.

For past three years awards by most websites/magazines have been given to 360 exclusive games.... never a ps3 exclusive
game of the year/ best graphics 2005 - Call of Duty 2
game of the year/ best graphics 2006 - Gears of War
game of the year/ best graphics 2007 - Call of Duty and Bioshock
ALL Exclusive to the 360 (with exception of COD4 multi)
so please stop with the BS that the 360 can't do GT5 graphics, ...

up until now, i didn't realize PGR4 can be compared to what is being considered best visuals for a racing game ever, GT5, and still hold up very good next to it.
You get any gamer from the street that dont know about fps and 720/1080p and they wouldn't be finding much difference just by comparing these screenshots.
i agree with firstnight, if they did have the budget, manpower, and the YEARS to develop, i'm sure they could surpass GT5 in the visuals department.

being that the game isn't out yet for the 360 and MS and Epic are in talks working out on how to deliver mods across LIVE.... no one can say for certain YET that its a "no-go"
wow... as a 360 owner/supporter, i have never been jealous of any game or anything related to ps3 until today. Being able to upload and use different charecter/mods is very cool. i am now officially jealous.
i wonder what will be done with the 360 version as far as mods? i know there are still working on it, so i'm hoping the final product will allow mods like these.

but timed exclusives really do have an effect on sales for the other console that doens't get it on day one. A good example would be UT3, i was looking forward to that game just as much as Halo3, especially after loving Gears, but now..... i just really lost interest.
i guess this is what happens when sales dont meet expectations, due to HS being a PS3 exclusive. They smartened up when they saw a game like Devil May Cry selling great on both 360 and ps3.
expect other dev, pub and games like MGS4 to go the same route if it doen't sell to expectations..

coming from an ex-pc gamer, the controller does take some getting used to. But once you do, it does have some adventages... like playing on your big screen while sitting comfortbly on your couch, and the rumble adds more immersion.
but if your stuck on mouse and keyboard, the Xbox has a hook-up called the XFPS connector that lets you use a mouse and keyboard (although i hear you must finely tune it to get it accurate) while the ps3 has what called FRAGFX (i think). Its a pretty...
to MART, i keep hearing the xfps for the 360 isn't accurate like a PC. Also, you cant connect a headset to it.

i guess at the time, i thought the graphics and story were good.
but my biggest complaint is the immortality factor. the fact you can pick up right were you left off makes it possible for ANYBODY to clear this game.
