as a ps3 owner you should be sick of hearing news of multi-plat games being better on the 360, but as a 360 owner, its all good!!!
believe me kid, if it was the other way around, you'd be glad to hear games were running better on ps3.

Even if that was there plan, they were just too late, blu-ray took off in 2007 due entirely to ps3. Now why didn't MS just include HD-DVD with the elite?

is it really such a major asset? yes they won the format war, but at what cost? if they did not include blu-ray ps3 could have launched in 05 to compete with 360 and a year ahead of Wii.....
in other words it would have destroyed the 360 in terms of sales because it would have been priced similar if not cheaper due to Sony being a hardware ...
@ heartboobs. no matter how you slice it, MS had to release ahead of PS3, (it just sucks that as a result RROD) because MS is going against the leader Sony with installed base of over 120 million. So, i'm sure even with the RROD, the people at MS are happy to have the lead over the ps3, because with such a large ps2 fanbase, i think they expected to lose.

There was a time, when the only xbox game people talked about was Halo, i mean everyone would just say go play your Halo on xbox since thats the only game of recongnition. People should admit Microsoft did really good this generation securing AAA ip's and now everyone knows Xbox is much much more than just Halo.

HDD is not necessary.... you do know the HDD for the 360 is used only for online gaming and downloads? every 360 is made to be compatible without a hard drive. (unlike ps3 and its 40+ installs) Only about 11 million of the 18 million 360s sold worldwide are connected to the internet. So the people that do not plan or can not connect to the internet for whatever reason, why would they need a HDD to play 360 games? a memory card is good enough to save game files.

all i can say is that i hope they do release the next xbox in 2010, every five years sounds just about right, by then blu ray should be installed and movies should be cheaper. Because I do plan on getting a bly-ray player in the future, when the prices come down to like $199.
i really do think they will follow Sony, and keep the 360 around as the ps2 of the next generation.

fact is, ps3 is the cheapest blu-ray around, and having blu-ray will definitely help ps3 sales.
as for me, i'm sorry, i just can't see myself buying a ps3, because my 360 plays same quality type of games. For a different experience i already have a Wii.

So no exclusive from Rockstar for you... yet. But since your getting rid of your Xbox, now you can keep hoping and waiting for PS3 DLC or an exclusive ps3 game from Rockstar. PS3 owners are VERY good at the waiting game.

and second, i'm only judging the screens I saw. What appears to be in-game footage, as in the ones that are in 3rd person/car, does NOT IMHO look to be leaps above in graphics as the games i mentioned. They look slighty better, but i'm making this ASSUMPTION on a couple of screens i saw, that is why I said that I am looking to seeing it in person one day.
