An actual Real Doll doesn’t cost this much. At least that way you get more bang for your buck.
There is good weird and bad weird. Good weird is Dark Souls and Control. These games use their surreal style to elevate the experience and connect the gameplay to the story.
Death stranding is an excellent example of bad weird. Bad weird attempts to mask hideous writing choices behind a quirky style.
Whether weird or not, I hope Intergalactic strives for the former rather than the later.
It’s weird that this game is getting so much positive attention. It’s just another reskin of origins. Save 70 dollars and go play any one of the other ones for the exact same mediocre experience.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We should all just ignore what this company does. It’s not a video game company anymore. Let the whales waste their money on it and just get on with your life. Plenty of real video game developers out there.
I doubt it would ever happen, but back in the old days this is exactly what publishers did.
I love obsidian, but this is definitely a stretch. They are the gold standard for making games better than Todd Howard, but that’s a really low bar these days.

I don’t want Live Service games or mediocre single player games. I also have the right as a consumer to not buy anything I want. If EA takes the wrong message from that, then they will continue to fail and lose money.
And before you tell me that I’m the reason that EA isn’t going to make single player RP...
They don’t have to go away. Consumers just need to know how to identify trash and steer clear of it. Licensed games based on movie franchises have a long history of being garbage from ET to Suicide Squad. My hope is that Live Services go the same route.

Sounds good. At least I know I won’t have to spend as much on games this year. If they are going to keep wasting their time, it’s nice to let me know so I don’t have to waste mine.
I would argue that game of the year is irrelevant here, since they bungled the plot at the end and the vast majority of reviewers didn’t bother to play through the entire 200 plus hour game.
I like to believe that the decline in sales from Remake to Rebirth has a lot to do with the changes they have made to the central narrative.

They definitely messed it up, but I would hardly expect them to realize that they did it. Sales seem to indicate otherwise.
If only there was some type of organization… maybe even a governmental one… that could stop companies from wrecking an industry by spending buckets of money they don’t actually have.

This is the main reason I’m not buying a pro. If they do this for ps6, I’m just going to switch to pc exclusively.

Give it the Baldur’s Gate 3 treatment. It will be costly, but Larian proved it can be done.
