I think the point is to reward the PC Halo audience who usually aren't talked much about or even supported with things like DLC.
Those SEGA ads...wow! SEGA during their console days had some really cool and memorable ad campaigns, shame about today though. The Sonic Unleashed ads tried to reference the good ol days but it just wasn't the same IMO.
DreamEye says, hello!
Again, this is making no sense at all. You claim to be responding to the author/website that posted this article yet your comment takes jabs at Microsoft like they were the ones behind the post/demo.
You need to get out more.
Five was actually one of the better Guitar Hero games, they got the modes just right and it was fun/simple to play. Sucks it didn't sell to well since they seem to have pretty much thrown all of that stuff out the window with six.
Wow, 5 disagrees for opinion, N4G is awesome! If you were getting a 360 for the first time solely for Kinect then yes, dollar wise $300 is a good deal. If you wanted Kinect alone for $150 then maybe not.
And you do realize there are more games compatible with Kinect than just the "red ball" game but what ever helps you sleep at night.
You say that yet your original response directly mentions Microsoft
"Now you've got a $150 dollar add-on to do what Six-Axis has already been done before (with better response)
*cough Killzone 2 *cough sniper.
Microsoft's New Slogan: "You are the controller with a controller."
"
I don't see the author mentioned anywhere here, just Microsoft.
If you already own a 360 it's a tough call, 50/50 really. If you don't own a 360 and get the $300 bundle that might be a good deal IMO.
Crimson Skies 3?
Dark Void started as that but apparently Microsoft didn't have interest in it at the time, a lot of the Crimson Skies: HRTR team (from FASA, the article incorrectly states Airtight made it) are at Airtight anyway.
You guys do realize Microsoft has nothing to do with this video...right? This is basically the PC version of Half Life 2 with a mod...
You entered the code because they said they would e-mail you a new one when it launched? Why not just keep the code you already had? You can't buy a new code, if you don't have a code and aren't getting one from Microsoft your buy the add on from the marketplace for $7.
There are reports that people are beginning to get their replacement codes so it'll be a gradual process from the looks of it.
"most of the 'original' rare staff left long ago.."
Where did you hear this? People leaving is nothing new, Rare was founded decades ago, many of the "first" employees are perhaps close to retirement anyway.
Because of burnout, the average length of a programmer staying in the industry isn't very high, you won't find an untouched studio that is as old as Rare.
On topic: I'd like to see what the fa...
The last level...AGHH!! With HD they didn't tone down the difficulty much but they did provide hints to a certain extent.
I'm hearing it's about 1 hour 20-45 minutes long, it's free but even at the $7 price it isn't a bad deal at all especially considering it's a new part of the story and all.
The game has been getting pretty good reviews else where, I think 7 is the lowest I've seen so far.
Remember when companies would simply emulate games, release them, and charge $10?
Two Worlds actually sold well in Europe, the PC version was apparently better than the console version so the name can still be put to some use.
Microsoft owns the IP now so Hydro Thunder is 360 exclusive, at the most we might get a PC port if anything.
Getting rid of the free option entirely was a mistake in my opinion, had they kept that along with the Plus service they might have had a better leg to battle Netflix with.
Much like the console war, it seems brand loyalty will play a part. :P
Does anyone know when/if Hulu Plus will make it to the 360/Wii if at all?
Only on PC of course, The Orange Box on 360 and PS3 for instance was basically abandoned shortly after launch. I'm not talking about DLC or anything like that but even with simple updates to fix the game and stuff.
