Redempteur: I never said Milo and Kate/Eyepet were anything alike, but Apocalypse Shadow is making it sound like Eyepet was an end all be all first for the technological sector (not saying Milo is either though).

You really can't compare the two, there are things one does that the other doesn't like The Lazy One said. I'm not saying one is better than the other either, they are both different enough to be cool implementations.

I think you are giving Eyepet far too much credit and the ability to manipulate a character like with Eyepet using things like video, voice, etc is nothing new.

FYI: The Banjo series has been around a lot longer than Ratchet. Toshiba was behind HD DVD and it was the official successor to DVD. Blu-Ray was a new competitor from a different organization than the DVD Forum.

Karaoke has also been existence for a few decades now as well.

So far, no publisher has increased the price of their map packs.

So far, two publishers are using multiplayer access redeem codes.

Gamers can put all their hate into one company but the reality is the others are in the business for the same reason, to make money.

Halo 3 has sold over 10 million copies worldwide since release, Halo 3 is also one of the most played games on Xbox Live as was Halo 2 when the servers were still up. On release, Halo 3 broke multiple records and earned itself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records, it was only dethroned by multiplatform titles (GTA IV, MW2).

I think you are really underestimating the following Halo has.

At E3 2010 they had various hands on kiosks that people could have used to try out the games, Dance Central, Ubisoft's Fitness Title, etc come to mind. Microsoft has also held various public sessions since then for the press and general public.

With Windows, Microsoft has ReadyBoost which does increase performance, how much is dependent on your system. I don't see why such tech can't work on the 360 or even PS3 if Sony created something similar.

The problem would be getting the drives to the massess.

Who said the DLC was in the game before release?

Darkride66: So how did a title you waited for nearly 5 years for go from "not buying at $70" to "will pick it up in the bargain bin"?

Alan Wake can easily last you 10 hours, with The Signal, you can add 1 hour 30-2 hours to your play time for free.

Alan Wake had the release date first, Red Dead Redemption was constantly being delayed before that. There was no guarantee that Red Dead could hit that date until days before launch and by then it was too late to do anything.

Weren't you the one complaining that Alan Wake was too expensive at full price?

Earthworm Jim HD has nothing to do with that SEGA contest, Earthworm Jim was removed from that list the day after the contest went live since Gameloft had announced Earthworm Jim HD was already in production.

So far its been great with plenty of awesome big name exclusives as well as some small time stuff too. StarCraft II will really breath new life into PC retail sales temporarily (due to the largely retail exclusivity aka not on Steam, Impulse, etc) and hopefully get more people into PC gaming as a result.

vsr: DLC has been around for a very long time on the PC (DL expansions) and even consoles, off the top of my head, the Dreamcast had DLC features.

Developers would still make DLC even if they had all the space in the world. Developers make paid DLC to make more money, they aren't doing it out of the goodness of their hearts.

The Call of Duty games usually give you an American or British viewpoint in their games. Call of Duty 3 had American, British, French, Canadian, and even Polish viewpoints.

Activision actually donates a percentage of Call of Duty sales to Veteran charities, they also actively hire returning veterans.

There is absolutely no way you beat the DLC in 30 minutes. It took me just under two hours but for most it's about 1 hour 30 minutes.

The full kit including the two Move devices, and PS Eye is $120 something IIRC.

The ESRB likely wouldn't have said anything since NG 2 on the 360 was still able to get an M rating so the odds of the PS3 version going AO for blood is unlikely.

Performance is likely, especially since the 360 version had performance issues due to optimization.

Lol, Hyrius is the very definition of a PS3 fanboy.

Not saying this rumor is right or wrong but Go Fanboy certainly doesn't have the best reputation with rumors.

3D Realms never went out of business, they just suffered massive layoffs but they are still very much a company.

In fact, they recently released Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project on XBLA.

How well has Peace Walker sold? I know it didn't chart in America on NPD. In the end it's all don't to software, I love my PSP though more than my DS. The DS has few titles that appeal to me but the PSP is my go to handheld device for almost anything.
