Any game that struggles to hold FPS or doesn't hold max resolution in DRS has maxed the base PS5's potential. (which is basically every game)
I'm not trying to be argumentative, I think you're in large part right. But I saw a lot of people who were saying they were waiting for the Pro to get their first PS5. I mean the Pro was an open secret since 2021 with leaks from reliable sources and the chip and features have been known for a long time and were accurate.
I think there will be a lot of new PS5 direct to Pro owners.

Better than 4k looking textures, much less artifacts and shaper looking image quality from PSSR and full ray tracing at 60 fps and this is just the start. We're only looking at games that have been patched, just wait until games made around this tech hit.

And I still replay some of my favorites from time to time, but the fact is time is always moving forward and I don't even have enough time to play all the new games I want.

What matters is that it's selling a lot and there is a lot of stock.
If the console can reach the top of Amazon sales charts all over the world, it's selling significantly better than the base PS5 which obviously is selling really well as the best selling console and selling double both the Switch and the xbox combined and 3-4x the xbox alone month after month.

Ya know, one point is next gen when the PS6 and the xbox y comes out, many of the BC PS5 games will have Pro versions while all the xbox games will be x versions.
This gen one of the best things for me when I got my PS5 was that I was able to play PS4 Pro versions of games.

PSSR isn't that far off DLSS, and PS5 Pro has RDNA 4 RT, it's not only adding RT its full RT not just simple 1/4 res reflections and shadows like PS5 and SX are doing.

Pretty funny jab, I am a big fan of GoG and I actually buy my games from them.
Anyone who actually makes a realistic comparison will see that the PS5 Pro is actually an incredibly good value. It's basically a $700 GPU and you get all the other stuff for free.
Look at xbox they charge $600 for a 2tb 10TF console with bare bones RT support and no upscaler. (or controller features or tempest or hardware decompression)
