Your console doesn't sell.
Your consumers don't buy software.
Game Pass and your purchases of major publishers makes you their rival.
No one trusts your future goals for the industry.
Series S is hard to develop for because its so weak.
It's a better deal than a $600 series x...
Phil's not a real gamer, he can't even find the x button.
PS5 as hardware has been great, and there is more games to play than I have time or money for.
The only thing that has sort of lacked is 1'st party, but they have had the best 2'nd and 3'rd party games to make up for it, so I have been happy.
No, without Microsoft xbox would have folded, Game Pass either wouldn't exist or their dreams of "billions of subscribers" would have put them under.
Game Pass 100% exists and became popular only through Microsoft subsidization.
And without Microsoft after the xbone it's unlikely they would have been in any position to buy any studios even the small ones they started with.
Heck, they wouldn't have survived RROD wit...
No way, DLSS FSR and PSSR are huge improvements to image quality and over all performance
I am not even saying this as a PlayStation comment just stickily from a development point of view.. And the tech has/is advanced(ing) way faster than and cheaper than the cost/benefit from simply putting more silicon on the board.
I feel this statement is going to come across badly for the audience here on N4G. But, for the consumer you're getting "graphics...
I liked it.
It's already been fixed.
It's already reverted back...
Even if it wasn't a bug they listened and changed it in less than 24h.
On xbox users complained about getting ads as soon as they turned on their console that they actually had to click through. But instead of stopping they doubled down and starting using the ad space for things that weren't even gaming.
At least for Sony the change was actually useful putting the latest news in the games home ...
You can't narrow it down to two games like that. I can name a dozen games that have been attacked over culture then underperformed but of course if all someone has to do is say "oh it was a bad game" what is even the point...
And btw the culture people constantly say they "won" in the argument over TLOU 2 because it didn't sell as fast as the first game...
Anyways I am done here, I don't want to help these articles gettin...
I'm not even a "kojima fan" but I am really looking forward to this game. The first game was good, it was obviously rushed but the vision was there, I expect this game to be the fleshed out vision. I hope there is more of the mountain climbing and traversal on foot stuff, that was really my favorite part.
"People invested in culture wars are a ridiculously small percentage of the gaming community."
If only...
I didn't find it to be buggy at all, not more than any other game. Nor do I agree with the other claims like animations or stealth sure it wasn't ridiculously mo-caped like a PlayStation exclusive but again it wasn't dissimilar to other games and the stealth was just common stealth game fare, I enjoyed it. And certainly these "issues" were not nearly to the tier of the drama surrounding the game.
And it's strange how the drama started before the ga...
There is no point in really arguing with you, but it's factually a completely different situation.
Bungie laid off it's own staff, Microsoft laid off those working at Zenimax and ABK.
Bungie is controlled by it's own management (Pete Parsons) and board of trustees, you may remember that recently there was a rumor that Sony would take full control of Bungie. (It hasn't happened yet) Until that happens Bungie controls its own staffing, deve...
FYI Bungie is an independent entity under Sony, their own board has been responsible for whatever has happened to them. Bungie has been been responsible for it's own mismanagement.
Star Wars Outlaws was really good, it's kind of a shame things went down like this, I enjoyed it more than EA's Star Wars which I also enjoyed.
Stupid culture BS is destroying everything. People who don't even play the game had more influence than the people who did... sad...
Selling Zenimax to Microsoft was the worst decision.
They have absolutely gutted it since they bought it. They have fired around 1500 workers from Zenimax alone and closed 2 major studios as well as two support studios. And this isn't even bringing up the thousands of people they have cut from ABK and internal Microsoft gaming divisions.
Zenimax was so much better off before Microsoft, and ABK will be no different.
Hopefully this...
Japan Studio wasn't closed it was rebranded as Asobi. Asobi was a team inside Japan Studio, Asobi is in the exact same building as Japan Studio and nearly all of Japan Studio aside from a few people who left to form Bokeh (making Slitter Head) are still at Asobi.

You're lying to yourself and others, PS5 Pro has already shown that it's providing an experience you'll need to pay double + for if you go the PC route.
And it's a heck of a lot better value than a 2TB xbox for $600 with no hardware upgrades at all.
Even if it uses frame rate caps, it doesn't hold to 60. So, on Pro, regardless of caps or not it will run at higher more stable frame rates.
