It would be great if it had PSSR to increase the resolution and stabilize the frame rate. Apparently it's just a few lines of code to enable PSSR into games since it's a hardware feature.
About Square Enix, FFXVI sold 3m in it's first week exclusively on PlayStation.
It's been out now for around a month on Steam.

3 million for a console that had a 25m install base is really good, it was one of the best selling games that year.
Hmm, lets talk about Stalker 2 next, or how Microsoft spent 100b to be able to control and keep some of the biggest multiplatform games off PlayStation...

Here is the only official statement. This was make by Game Science themselves.
"PC and PS5 users can enjoy the full game starting August 20, 2024. We are currently optimizing the Xbox Series X|S version to meet our quality standards, so it won't release simultaneously with the other platforms. We apologize for the delay and aim to minimize the wait for Xbox users. We will a...
I didn't even read most of what you said because it starts out with B.S.
"False. DF did covered one segment where frame drops because of a BUG."
No it's drops in combat. I posted a time stamped video showing it drops on both the s and x.
John Linneman literally said "It does reach this target flawlessly in my experience with virtually zero hiccups - it runs at 30fps and 30fps is exactly what you'll get from s...

First off I stand by what I said. Especially things like when they said Hellblade 2 didn't have any frame drops when elanalistadebits as well as others showed that it did have drops into the mid 20's or the games where they said graphical settings were the same when the PS5 clearly has things like better textures or draw distance ect. a good example would be Baldur's Gate 3.
That said, I have noticed a change in the way they ...
FSR 4 may use a similar chip, but the software itself will be entirely different. Sony owns the code and logic that run their chip. It's like how PlayStation has it's own driver/software that run PS5 even though it's using AMD hardware.
Similarly PS4 Pro had it's checkerboarding before FSR but they are different in how they work both on the hardware level and functionally how they upscale.
Sony owns and holds the patent for PSSR.

Checkerboard on PS4 Pro was the first hardware based upscaler 2 years before DLSS 1.0. Granted that was not AI/ML but it was PlayStation innovation that started the trend. And going further back the PS3 Cell chip and it's SPU's are basically the initial design for the modern CU all GPU's use.
And his eyes closed... apparently.
That is not the conclusion he makes at all.
PSSR beat FSR as far as I can recall in every test he does. PSSR even beats DLSS in a couple ways though DLSS is still the best over all.
Keep in mind DLSS is version 3.7 PSSR hasn't even been released to the public.
PSSR is a really great entry for consoles into AI upscaling.
I think it's an accurate to make a generalized statement that PlayStation has the most polished and stable versions of the most games by percentage of total. It's often the lead/prioritized platform.
Games that have FPS locked to physics are not even a thing anymore. Developers realized that was a problem last gen when they were trying to update older games for the then modern consoles. And even then it was an uncommon thing that not many games did. It's basically only memorable because of Bethesda.
Now no one makes games that use that because they know going forward it will just cause problems.
And 900p isn't being stretched to 4k, that...

It's so funny how prior to PSSR I NEVER not even once saw anyone complain about DLSS and it's AI upscaling, now as soon as PlayStation has it all of a sudden people hate it. It's crazy how that works, even still I never see anyone complain about AI upscaling in PC DLSS articles, just the ones about PlayStation.
See, this is what I don't get. Why spend all that time saying all the stuff you did (which judging by the response to what you said people didn't agree with) then say let it have a market.
If you think it can have a market then why say all that other stuff?
No one is forcing you to buy it, no company is going to make Pro only games so you're not missing out on anything. It's just an option like a high end video card but for people who li...
You constantly have been trying to paint the Pro as going to be a failure / not worth it, in nearly every comment you make about the Pro using a variety of different arguments.
My point is it doesn't need to be for every consumer, it just needs to have a market, similarly to the high end Nvidia cards.
Well if they were developing both games in parallel, then they could develop another Silent Hill in parallel with this by that logic.
Not that I am even pretending to know what their plans are outside of what they have said.
Good for them. Self publishing should be the goal of any studio, hopefully the sucess of Silent Hill will help them with that goal. But I hope they don't get too distracted that they can't make another Silent Hill.

"MS appreciates all PS5 players buying their games."
Even more than they appreciate xbox players buying their consoles apparently.
What... I feel like they didn't listen to the fans at all and just made the game they wanted too.
The "fans" did nothing but bitch and moan and complain about jaw lines and other stupid stuff...
Ok, well, we'll see how much better that works out for them, so far it doesn't seem that great.
Perhaps, being exclusive was what made the game special and why more than one out of every ten users on PlayStation bought it to begin with.
