It's 9 games 1 is free to play and two are PC only. It's a far cry from when they were adding 15 to 20 every month and this is more games than several recent months.

Don't be surprised if they really lower the value on Standard to force people into Ultimate, and lets not forget the basic tier which doesn't even get monthly games anymore and only seems to get a handful of old games recycled from gamepass every six months.

And even when you...

WTF are you even talking about?

Any company can patch their game, they don't need permission from Sony. If they patch their game Sony will then give them the tag, not the other way around. And on top of that there are over 8500 games that use dynamic resolution scaling that will run at higher resolutions and more stable frame rates with no updates needed.

And this is exactly what I was talking about, you want to talk about resolution this and that ...

Another misleading article.

Firstly, it's still 33TF and the most powerful console by a wide margin, a much greater gap than the 17% DF is still desperately trying to find.

Secondly, the Pro has RDNA 4 RT so when RT is in effect the Pro is going to perform much better than a 7800xt.

Thirdly PSSR is going to be a much better upscaling technique than FSR which the 7800xt is limited to.

Finally it's still using ...

"Possibly the best. Maybe just not the most cost-effective when comes to PS5 Pro vs Base PS5, IMO, that´s all."

I am fully confident that the PS5 Pro is more cost effective than an 2tb xbox with no hardware improvements for $600.

But the console is sold at a subsidized price.

And all I keep hearing about is how CPU's aren't usable across generations and how using a similar CPU will somehow provide less FPS, so clearly the two most expensive parts need to be purchased every PC upgrade. And PS5 Pro has faster Memory and a larger SSD so you gotta buy those too and not cheap stuff either like the slowest possible ram the motherboard can accept like the recent "PC comparison builds".. ...

PS4 Pro was in a whole other generation where very very few games even had 60 fps versions. You can count the number of 60 fps AAA games on PS4 on your fingers.

And just using one game as an example to pigeonhole a whole console is pointless.

And the saddest part is the way you guys just focus on one single aspect, there were other games listed in the report all that had various different enhancements including higher resolutions.

Agai...

"The Digital Foundry staff presumed the PS5 Pro footage they analyzed was using PSSR"

"Puha further stated that Remedy Entertainment will drop some details on the PS5 Pro version of Alan Wake 2 in the coming weeks, along with some assets too"

Let wait until we hear what the actual developers have to say about the game.

It going to be the best console experience.

And despite what the click bait may want to convince people of you can't build a PC for nearly the price of the PS5 Pro has tech that isn't in any of the graphics cards people are using as well as other parts (memory, SSD's) making these cheap builds.

Just wait until it's released and we start to see exactly what the console can do, not these misleading reports with zero fact or cross checking. ...

This is an extremely misleading report. This is how upscaling works, you use a lower base resolution then upscale it.

The image you see on your TV is not the base resolution, it's upscaled to look like a much higher resolution.

Lets see images side by side of the base version and the PS5 Pro version so we can just the image quality of the two and I guarantee you that the PS5 Pro has the best image quality of any console version.

Quit acting like every gaming PC is this monster gaming rig doing 4k/60 with RT because it's not, you only have to look at steam hardware survey to see it's not. And the PC's that are doing that cost more than the PS5 Pro.
