@OP: YOU are the Facepalm of the Year.
@PirateThom: So, THAT'S how you got so many bubbles... intelligent comments. Who woulda thought?
... and I suppose a single-celled organism like you should follow "Killzowned" with something else equally intelligent like "You got served" or "You best bring it, fool" or "Yeaha, boieeeee" or "that sh*t is dope son".
360degrees' "big ol' Bowl of mediocrity" is how I see it, but I don't think I would be so harsh on the graphics. That's this game's biggest achievement... and I'm willing to let them have it...
The rest is a mess of awkward controls and same-old gameplay. But let them have the well deserved marks in the graphics department.
So, sorry, 360 degrees... that amounts to a big fat disagree.
Really, now. I don't know what irritates me more, KZ fanboys acting like die hard sports team fans, or the rampant conspiracy theories.
The appearance of wrongdoing doesn't equal wrongdoing. I'm sure you can think things through before over-reacting to everything... right?
Dammit, I admit it. I'm picking up the Limited Ed of Halo Wars for the new maps. But Sandbox is totally worth it for me. The ultimate forging map...
But don't worry, I'm still totally in it for the RTS. The demo sells me on it. I stopped playing the demo so the anticipation wouldn't destroy my life.
It's good you say haters be damned. But we all know, some people's experience is some how diminished when people disagree with them.
It's a damn fine looking game. You won't find me disagreeing with that. And if you think the game play is up to snuff, that's great too. But I don't think the actual gameplay is all that different from what we have seen before. I might be alright with that if the controls didn't feel awkward in my hands.
But even this backhanded co...
Damn. Give these guys an award. That's some high quality stuff. Way to go.
I'm chomping at the bit after playing the demo.
Of Halo Wars. I'll get around to KZ2 whenever Gamefly gets around to sending it to me. Until then, I have plenty of other games to play.
Sorry guys, I just don't get these reactions you are having.
What gets my goat is when a philosophical argument covers up a case of blind fanboyism. People don't know what they are really thinking and what informed those thoughts, hence our propensity for double-standards. We think we are being rational when we criticize one company for something, but turn around and defend our favorite company for the same thing.
Take Microsoft anti-trust litigation. When people talk about IE bundling and how it's stifling the market, people turn aroun...
3D gaming, for the large part, misses the point. Popping out of the screen is a nice gimmick, but it's too easily one-upped by more significant tech, like Augmented Reality. The age of 3D glasses has come and gone... and that's coming from someone who has a nice shutterglass rig for his PC.
Until displays can generate unassisted 3D images, it's not worth the trouble.
Go away fanboy.
If you don't have one, maybe you should consider a 360 then. It's where the JRPGs are showing up, ironically.
Impressive. But even the xbox fans, myself included, know this won't last for long. It's a nice ding to show the 360 will sell when backed by a stream of Japanese titles.
But, ya know, I don't need Xbox to be successful in Japan for it to benefit me as a gamer. It just has to be successful in my house under my TV.
...with proper ventilation.
It shouldn't. You have to be a tin-foil hat wearing idiot to think Linux is worth the trouble of using linux on a daily basis. Just use a mainstream OS and save yourself a lot of trouble. Every time I try linux, my computer using habits outgrow the OS within an hour.
I thought this was the anti-fanboy Gamer Zone. Not the impossible superlative and delusion zone.
The economics of paying for Xbox Live have a similar effect to PSN gaining ground. Right now, if MS drops the ball on online play, then users stop paying for their gold memberships. MS has an incentive to keep us happy. Paying $50 a year gives gamers a lot of control Now, PSN gaining ground puts additional pressure on MS to improve. But I don't expect to see MS drop the charge any time soon.
Personally, I would like to see MS spin off the division from the rest of the compan...
Reliability first. If the RROD never happened, Microsoft wouldn't be battling with Sony... they would be tangling with Nintendo right now. Sony should thank their lucky stars they got that break.
I honestly don't think the 360 first party and exclusives are lagging that far behind. Of course, liking Halo goes a long way, but they are making fun games. It's hard to balk at that. But the way they tied up exclusives and forced other exclusives to go multi-platform has given MS ...
I tend to agree with Deathrow. Microsoft is trying really hard and investing a lot of money to improve their foothold. We haven't seen the depth of their capability, which could be fathoms deeper or just a few inches shallow.
But we know Sony is experienced and has been in both a dominant and bottom of the pile position. These positions are reflected in their online services, their third-party strategies, and their system architecture.
But I'm not about to predict...
That's right. Let this be the beginning of the end for those smug Linux nutjobs.
So this guy has "data" from a "quick survey" that says the game is selling like crazy.
And this other guy says KZ2 isn't selling consoles.
I think you are both full of fanboy crap. And anyone who agrees with either of them is a blind fanboy agreeing with what they want to believe.
I wonder what this quick survey consisted of... talking to a single gamestop clerk?
