I'm not going to say its a "failure" until someone calls it a Halo killer. GOW is in a class all it's own, and it does it pretty damn well, too.
If Sony wants to be play the graphics card midway into it's console's life cycle, they SHOULD be running at 60 frames to make it really count. A graphics strategy is good for EARLY cycle penetration... not for going toe to toe with an established console that outclasses it in every other department.
I know you will disagree, but graphics is the only thing PS3 has going for it. All the true innovation happens on the 360.
Hyping doesn't kill games. Hyping kills Sony's games. If they could execute more consistently, then we might see a hyped game get some leniency like everyone else seems to enjoy. But as long as Sony PR sounds like they are in denial, no one will take their hype seriously... aside from the diehards who probably bought the Playstation-branded campaign flutes.
Killzone 2 is STILL a great game, in my opinion falling a little short of the hype... but still within tolerances. Before you hammer me with disagrees: KZ2: GREAT game. I'm not on my knees worshiping it as the second coming, but it is still a GREAT game. I'll probably tell Gamefly to let me keep it. But still... great. But NOT perfect.
Guess what, hype for Halo 3 was totally founded. One BILLION games

Killzone 2... great, amazing, gorgeous game.
Halo 3... legendary, iconic, smooth game.
They are both great. But I still give the edge to Halo 3 if only for Forge mode. Everywhere else, they are equal of close to equal. But forge is something VERY special and innovative. Sure there are tons of level editors, but only LBP suprasses it on consoles, as far as I'm concerned, and that's a different genre all together.
But I'm not calling KZ2 bad by ANY str...

Guys, this battle isn't about Playstation vs. Xbox. They are on the same side. It should be the Gaming Consoles vs. the waggle box.
I'm going to keep preaching the truth that console gaming is getting pulled right out from under us because the Wii isn't "compeition" to the big wigs at MS and Sony. Do you want a video game console for lobotomized kiddies? Because if Nintendo runs away with this generation, odds are that's we ALL get.
This product is the real deal. I did this mod and the d-pad's responsiveness is what Microsoft should have launched with. Listen to the way the d-pad clicks when he uses it. It's a sharp response, the way it should be. It's my super pad now... and it lights up, too.
But, that said, I would prefer the PS3 version just because the d-pad doesn't need modification.

* DEMAND demos for every downloadable title, EVERY time
* DEMAND trophies in every game, EVERY time (which they now do)

So, would meatnormous have Microsoft issue a recall and fix all ?? million consoles. And should they do that in less than 4 months? Unlikely. It might suck to hear it, but this firefighting approach to fixing the 360's issues is the best for the customer.
My PC came with 6 gigs of ram. Would have built, but didn't have the time to dedicate or to wait. Obviously no issues RAM-wise, but if you come in with unrealistic expectations of Vista, of course you will get burned.

Actually, I feel less lag. What really needs fixing is that HUGE deadzone. It's way to big for precision movement.
